Hello everyone and welcome to Pojo.com's Card of the Day! Today we're taking a look at another card from Shattered Alliances that combined two separate effects into one card! Let's check out Doomblast Scaradorable, shall we?

Name: Doomblast Scaradorable
Civilization:
Darkness
Type: Creature
Race:
Chimera
Level:
7
Power:
8000
Flavor Text: "Okay, Squeaky, scream attack!" -Allie
Rarity: Very Rare
Set Number: 19/80 l 9SHA
Abilities:
Double Breaker
(This creature breaks 2 shields.)
Shattering Scream- When this creature enters the battle zone, banish target enemy creature that is level 4 or less. Then choose one of your opponent's shields. This creature breaks that shield.

Simply put, Doomblast Scaradorable is a much better version of Dark Scaradorable released in the Sonic Blast deck. Doomblast still has Double Breaker and the ability to break one of your opponent's shields, however this time, she also has 8000 power at level 7 and banishes one of your opponent's level 4 or less creatures!

This card is great for getting rid of lone Keeper of Laws and also makes short work of just about any Blocker that most decks, outside of Haven, utilize. On top of this shattering ability, Doomblast boasts a powerful 8000 power for a level 7. This makes her able to take down just about anything up to her level by simply attacking it, which may deter your opponent from attacking you at all.

The biggest concern that I would have when playing this card is the same one I had when playing Dark Scaradorable, it breaks a shield. When you play this card you give your opponent a free resource and with that the potentiality of activating a shield blast that could deal with your newly summoned creature. In most circumstances though, you'll have at least gotten rid of a creature with Doomblast's effect and evened the playing field a bit.

If you're playing Doomblast later in the game it can still be beneficial. You can banish and break and then play a card to discard they just added to their hand via Mesmerize or Spire Puppet/Fumes. It also allows you to be able to go in for game or at least be one step closer then you were moment ago prior to playing the card.

I'll always have mixed feelings about breaking an opponent's shield with Doomblast's effect, but getting a free Bone Blades out of it as well as a powerhouse creature seems like a good enough reason to run this card in the right deck. If anyone has successfully made a "Scarabreakable" deck utilizing Dark Scaradorable and Doomblast, I'd love to hear about it! Feel free to message me on Twitter or YouTube!

Constructed: 3.50/5.00 (A very powerful turn 7 play that serves as "spell-free" removal and gives you a huge creature that your opponent is going to have to deal with sooner rather than later.)
Limited: 4.00/5.00 (It always comes down to, "It's a great card if you can survive long enough to play it..." This is no different, however, with the amount of Blockers accessible, you can stall out long enough to play this card and get rid of a threat on your opponent's side of the battle zone.)

I hope you all enjoyed today's review! The week's dwindling down to the last two days, so stay tuned for some exclusive news that you won't want to miss!  Until next time my fellow Kaijudo Duel Masters, keep calm and game on!
