Hello again everyone and
welcome back to Pojo.com's Card of the Day! Wizards
of the Coast recently announced that I made it into
the top six for the Kaijudo Master Commentator
Challenge! Please make sure to stop by their Kaijudo
Facebook page to see all the submissions and vote
for your favorite... even if that happens to be a
certain Card of the Day writer! Anywho, today's card
is also from the Tatsurion VS Razorkinder deck and
also hasn't seen a ton of play since it's been out.
Let's take a look at Roaming Bloodmane.
Name: Roaming Bloodmane
Civilization: Nature
Type:
Creature
Race: Beast Kin
Level: 7
Power: 6000
Flavor Text:
"He belongs to an elite warrior clan bred,
raised, and trained for warfare. According to the
tablet, he'll eat anything... even humans." -Master
Nadia
Rarity:
Very Rare
Set Number:
40/43 l 1TVR
Abilities:
Double
Breaker (This creature breaks 2 shields.)
Tactical Camouflage- This creature can't be
blocked by creatures that have less power than it.
Roaming Bloodmane is your
average run-of-the-mill Double Breaker with 6000
power. Sadly, he's a level 7, so he's rather
underpowered for a nature creature. He is a Beast
Kin... but the majority of evolutions you would want
to play on him would be a little too late seeing as
he's a level 7. His ability, Tactical Camouflage,
makes it impossible for most creatures to block this
guy, or at least it used to be the case.
With the release of Shattered
Alliances just days away, we have Blockers with
11000-15500 power! Needless to say, they
will be
able to block this guy's attacks. This is great for
early plays in the game when a Scaradorable of Gloom
Hollow or Aqua Strider are in the battle zone, but
if you start getting into a later game state,
Bloodmane will become less and less viable.
After the release event for the
new set we'll have access to Ba'kaar Frostwing which
is one level higher than Bloodmane and has 5000 more
power with an identical effect... except if
Frostwing can banish a creature in battle, you can
draw two cards!
I don't expect to see this card
seeing any play in the near future but there's still
potential for an unblockable deck which could see
play in the days ahead, time will only tell!
Constructed: 1.50/5.00 (So many better alternatives to choose from
and this card practically becomes obsolete with the
release of Ba'kaar Frostwing.)
Limited:
2.75/5.00 (In limited this card can easily win
you games if you can get to turn 7-8 as most
blockers are easily dealt with outside of Gran Gure
in the battle decks.)
Thanks for stopping by
everyone! If you guys haven't had the chance to look
through all of the spoilers for Shattered Alliances
yet, you're missing out! Don't be left in the dark
when the set hits this Friday the 13th! Until next
time my fellow Kaijudo Duel Masters, keep calm and
game on!
