Darkness: Its great Combonations- The Dark Advocate

Hello! Its me again, The Dark Advocate......Here with some more helpful advice and combos my favorite civilazation, Darkness.

As all ways, I'd like to thank Pojo and it's wonderful staff, for their dedication and hard work to helping us master this wonderful game, called Duel Masters. Now, to continue...

In my deck, I use a combonation of Water and Darkness cards to manipulate the field, and to control both my own, and my opponents hand. I use Darkness to manipulate the field with creature destruction spells, and monster effects. I use Water to return cards to my opponents hand and deck, and to draw extra cards. This allows be to make my deck a little larger. In essence, I believe my Duel Masters deck would constitute as a "Control" deck.

Now, I use this strategy to stall until I can summon my double-breaker, beat stick, darkness monsters, to pound away at my crushed opponent. ^_^

Darkness pairs up well with Water, because both of the best strengths of these civilazations are in manipulating card control and field control. But, both dont have the most devasating creatures. Now, most of them are very good, but really cant match up with other civilazations in head-to-head encounters, especially the Fire civilazation.

Now, a combo I wish to mention is involving the Darkness card Terror Pit, and the Water creature, Emeral. Emerals effect is when you summon him, you can exchange one card from your hand with one of your face down shields. This allows me to set down Terror Pit, and get a card not possible before until my opponent had broken that shield. Now, when my opponent breaks one of my shields, which he has to too win, I'll get to destroy anyone of his creatures for free if I choose. Nice eh'? Thought so......( Its a shield trigger!)

Now, Darkness can also be paired up with the Fire civilazation for a very powerful offensive deck, but it will most likely have horrible defense against incoming attacks. The point of a good Black/Red is too rush your opponent before he can summon creatures. And when he does, kill them quickly with high powered creatures, or Darknesses wide spell variety. There are also many other combonations, but thats too much detail for me too go into.

I'll do a review for some great combo-Darkness based decks some other time.

         Until next time................ta-ta...........
