Lancer vs. Paladin - MrDolphin Style Lancer or Paladin. Paladin or lancer. many have wondered who is better and who sucks. The answer? NONE They both have different usage. They both use different stragedies. Heck, if its not a mono blue, then they go to diferent decks. Lancer: 6 cost 8000 power DBL breaker Cant be blocked Evolves from liquid people Many despise and love this card. Those who use it are refered to as cheap. But is it really THAT good? Alone by itself, yes. Its good. It can go to ANY deck. Think about it, death smoke cant kill it, unless its untapped somehow. Terror pit and high attack monsters are the only way it can be brought down, and also natural snare. If left on the field, the user will win the game. Simple. The problem? Its 6 cost means that if you play it on the 6th turn, you cant do anything else, which isnt really a big deal. Like i said on the boards, its a one man tank. No doubt that its good, but its not unstoppable. Paladin: 4 cost 5000 power All blockers are sent back to the owners hand Evolves from Liquid people My personal favorite card. Though Paladin may seem to be not as dominating as lancer itself, combined with rush decks, especially red and green, its too good. IN some cases, people would most likely fear paladin. Why? In DM, if you summon 5 monsters (which is entirely possible) in turn 5 or even on 4, and ur opponent has a measely 2 or 3, who has the advantage? Then, summon paladin, and if your opponent does not have a shield trigger, you win. this is very easy to do with red, as it has cheap humans and if you want, you can add braid claws. Conclusion: Paladin and Lancer are even in my eyes. Lancer is good all around in many decks, but Paladin is more specialized and in the hands of a skilled rush/bounce duelist, Paladin is even deadlier.
