Cards that are..well..special- Fish Hey everyone! Here is my opinion of the worst cards in the game. Iocant, the Oracle This card is way too situational. It's a solid 2000 and blocker for 2 mana, but it's only good if you have 1 of 2 Angel Command cards on the field, and without that, Emerald Grass is much better. King Coral A 1000 blocker for 3 mana that can attack. My question is, who cares? If you want a blocker choose Marine Flower, Hunter Fish, or Phantom Fish. If you want an attacker choose Aqua Vehicle, Aqua Knight, (only because it comes back from the graveyard) Aqua Hulcus, or Hypersquid Walter for a better effect. Note- I don't think Aqua Vehicle is completely useless so don't be suprised if he's not on this list. Seamine Here we ask ourselves why they wasted foil on this card. Same issue as King Coral here folks. 6 mana for a blocker with 4000 power that can attack. There are better choices than Seamine. Like Revolver Fish. Just not good. Unicorn Fish Yet another card that gives us questions not answers. Such as, why play this card when Spiral Gate takes half the mana, and has the same effect? And, why is this card Rare? If this card was uncommon, it just might have saved it. Dark Raven, Shadow of Grief Why pay 4 mana for a 1000 power blocker that can attack? This is King Coral but worse. Dark has enough blockers now, due to the release of Evo-Crushinators of Doom. Just use a better blocker(or attacker). Masked Horror, Shadow of Scorn Why is it always the Ghosts that suffer from bad effect compared to mana cost? For 5 mana, you get a wimp creature and can discard 1 card from your opponents hand. Just use Ghost Touch, 1000 power isn't good enough that late in the game. Night Master, Shadow of Decay Yep, you guessed it. Yet another Ghost card. It's Seamine with 1000 less power. They just weakened an already bad card and made it Dark. Dark already has enough bad cards, leave it alone. Skeleton Soldier, the Defiled No, it's not another ghost card. It's Skeleton Soldier, the Defiled. He certainly defiles the good name of Duel Masters. A card should always have mana equal to the first digit of its power, or have a good effect to make up for it. This card, however, has neither. Artisan Picora Why would anyone destroy 1 mana to bring out a creature with 2000 attack power? Your opponent can just play La Ura Giga, Sky Guardian and whoops, there goes Artisan Picora. If you must destroy mana for a creature at least play a good one. Fatal Attacker Horvath There's nothing really fatal about him. His power increases by 2000 if you have an Armorloid in the battle zone, but there aren't many Armorloids. And since his base power is 2000 and his mana cost is 3, Brawler Zyler would be a better choice. Nomad Hero, Gigio With a mana cost of 5 and a power of 3000, if your opponent has any blocker, he will quickly fail in battle. He's just not worth summoning. Note- I also don't think that Pangaea's Song is completly useless either. Poisonous Dahlia & Steel Smasher Both of these cards are almost the same. They each have 1000 more attack than thier mana cost(4 & 2 respectivly). Sounds like a good deal right? But they can't attack player, which sucks all the fun out of using them. Stampeding Longhorn With a summoning cost of 5 and a power of 4000, it can't be blocked by creatures with 3000 power or less. If your playing against someone using blockers they'll most likely have a 4000 power blocker stuffed somewhere in his/her deck. Spiral Grass With a summoning cost of 5 mana and a power of 2500, It wont be able to untap after it blocks anyway. You know why? It won't survive the attack long enough to untap itself. Wyn, the Oracle Wyn, the Oracle is the equivalent to A Man With Wdjat(Wdjat?) from Yu-Gi-Oh!. It's heart is in the right place, but it just doesn't cut it. You can look at 1 of your opponent's shields every time it attacks meaning you get 1 free shield peek before it bites the big one. But Recon Operation for Water does the same thing. And better. Aqua Bouncer This card has an identity crisis. It takes 6 mana to summon and has mediocre attack power. It is also a blocker that can attack. With a special side effect of putting a creature back in your opponent's hand. Just use Corile. It's effect is more annoying, placing a creature on the top of the deck so your opponent draws it again instead of a new, possibly better card. It also costs less, and has more attack power. Aqua Shooter Ok, this card isn't completely useless, I just think the point of a blocker is to block not attack. For 4 mana, you get a blocker with 2000 power that can attack. Think of it as buying a car. You don't go to a dealer looking for something to just get you to work and nothing more, and end up paying for a backseat DVD player. it's just unnessessary. Scissor Eye See Skeleton Soldier the Defiled. Stained Glass This card is wayyyy too situational. You can return a fire or nature card to your opponent's hand every time it attacks. Unless fire and nature decks are the latest craze in your area, just stay away. It also has low attack power. General Dark Fiend Ahhhh, where do I begin. With an effect like: 5 mana for a creature with 6000 and double breaker that destroys one of your shields every time you attack with him, you'd think that people anyone that has played for a while would just stay away from General Dark Fiend. Poison Worm He he he, I've been waiting a while to get my say in on this card. As the single card I was hoping not to get in a pack, and I did(Armored Blaster Valdios was a nice concellation though) I've been waiting. 4 mana for a creature with 4000 power that you have to destroy one of your creatures with 3000 power or under to play. See? It even limits the creature you can destroy. (laughs out loud) When an uncommon card can do better than it(Stinger Worm) than you know it's bad. Armored Cannon Balbero This evolution card needs to be used in a human deck to even be playable. And since Humans are the weakest type of card right now, it's just not good. Fortress Shell This card's effect isn't bad, being "When you put this card into the battle zone, choose up to 2 cards in your opponent's mana zone and put them into his graveyard", but it takes 9 mana to summon. Yep, 9 mana. I have never yet played a duel where anyone has amassed 9 mana within the span of the game. If you have please e-mail me about it at chrestoman1@comcast.net. The effect isn't that good at that particular time in the game either so you get rid of 2 mana. I still have 6 or 7. Rumbling Terahorn Two words: Dimension Gate. The first list of bad cards that isn't a top ten. Please e-mail me if you read it. I want to know that people are reading it. E-mail me at chrestoman1@comcast.net Fish
