Darkness...The Best Civilization

After much thought, deliberation, play-testing, and observing, Mono Black is really the only mono color that stands a chance in the meta-game anymore.  Before the Release of Evo-Crushinators of Doom many mono-color decks were viable.  Now it is quite the opposite where you almost have to have more than one color in your deck to even last after turn 5.

Now, the reason that black is such a good choice is all the creature removal upon creature removal.  4 Terror Pits, 4 Chaos Worm, 4 Death Smoke, and 4 Critical Blade, those are the main things people use for removal.  Black also has the strongest creature in the game, being Ultracide Worm.  Obviously him being a Evolution Creature with the capability of breaking two shields is a major plus.  Although he is the Super Rare, Chaos Worm is by far the best of the Darkness Evolutions.  He is a solid 5000 attacker who destroys a creature when he comes out, what more could you ask for.

Black also has many other things going for it.  It has a wonderful balance of Blockers, Destroyers, and Attackers.  It has a little bit of everything.  It has power of yellow in blockers, power of blue in removal (albeit blue bounces, it is almost the same), power of red in the strong attackers, and it has very little of the power of green in quickness.

Future expansions will only extend the arsenal of darkness.  As powerful as Darkness is by itself it is far more powerful in combination with one or two more colors.  The deck I use consists of 12 Darkness cards.  4 Terror Pit, 4 Death Smoke, 2 Critical Blade and 2 Zagaan, Knight of Darkness.  I use it in combination with either Red and Green, Green and Blue, or Yellow and Green.  The Black cards serve as emergency tech cards as there is a good chance one of the shield triggers will be hit.  That will greatly increase the speed of any deck.

As you can see Darkness is by far the best to use in anything.  The possibilities are nearly limitless.  If you have darkness cards that are good, you should probably use them.
