DocterStromboli@aol.com Shield Triggers more durable?-The Geek I stink at openings. So I'm just gonna get started. As you all know about this game, you need to focus on specific types to build an effective deck. But, I've noticed something about shield triggers. They work effectively in any deck. I first noticed this when I was reading a tourney report on this site. Someone was talking about their opponent using Terror Pit in a NON DARK DECK. He said that his opponent said, and I quote, "In hopes of pulling it as a shield trigger". The fact that they were doing this confused me, so I tried it myself. I play a currently mediocre fire/light/water deck, and put in the four Terror Pits. Now, strangely, I didn't usually use it as a trigger, but I mostly ended up playing one Terror Pit as mana when I had no options. Then I pulled another. My opponent had a Hanusa and was about to smash my last two shields. I played the terror pit that I drew and killed Hanusa, allowing me to break his last two shields and win(I had 2 braids and played magma gazer. they were already out). This brought new light to my game. Holy Awe and Spiral Gate can be used just like this. Hope this helped. I can't issue my e-mail because my inbox gets filled up pretty fast. The Geek
