I started playing Duelmasters the day my comic shop recived it and have enjoyed it ever since.The 1 problem that I have seen too much of has nothing to do with the game at all , its other people.

Dont get me wrong I am a very sociable person but the lack of respect for other players is downright rude at times. Everyone that reads this will know exactly what Im talking about. Youll be sitiing there playing (usually a new game) and here comes a Magic,Pokemon,Yu-Gi-Oh or other player to bash on you and say what a stupid game that is or how its a rip-off of there favorite game.

I have played Magic,Yu-Gi-Oh and a bunch of other CCG games and I have never bashed on another game. The 1 reason for this is that all games are good to those that play them. END OF STORY.

My next subject is that Duelmasters is as different from Yu-Gi-Oh as Pokemon is from Magic. All that I have heard is that it rips off this and that game and it doesnt. It may borrow from other games but there isnt a game out there that doesnt.

As for the game itself. So far the game does resemble Magic but is that really a bad thing? I mean youll never be mana screwed again and so far there are no over powered cards so who can complain? I have read about the Japanese version of the game and there will never be a restricted or banned list because the game is well balanced. What other game that is out there can you say that about? I have looked at cards from all 8 sets and there are none that are too powerful. Sure there are going to be some decks that win alot but there isn't a single deck that you can come up with that can't win.

Well only time will tell if Duelmasters will suceed or fall on it's face but as far as now goes sit back and enjoy the ride because the next expansions will rock this game to new hights. As far as other players go dont bash it untill you try it is what I say. If you have the money to play Yu-Gi-Oh (we all know what that means) or can overlook the type 2 card rotations in Magic (that is my only real complaint about the game , but I do see it's point) then by all means play them , just don't bash other games.
