Foolish Pawns, Lusts Tools

In my opinion this is the most playable card in the game. With 4 cost this ally can be recruited at any level by any leader. It also has one of the best abilities in the game. All allies opposing it in a search party gets -1 to all attributes. So this happens to be a beast.

4 Cost--Homunculus Faction

3 Strength--4 Wits--0 Alchemy

"Each character opposing Foolish Pawns in a search party gets -1 to each attribute."

The Rundown: Fairly average stats and a good effect. Like a few other cards
from set 1, Foolish Pawns will be a staple in Homunculus decks for a long
time to come. There are very few cards that lower stats on multiple
characters at once, and it's always a handy ability to have. You'd be
surprised how -1 to an attribute can affect your opponent's ability to use
events and abilities effectively.

The Downside: Foolish Pawns is one of those cards that has a huge bull's eye
painted on it. If you send them, it is very likely that they will be
attacking the Pawns first. And the Pawns' stats aren't all that great, so
your opponent won't have too hard of a time disposing of them. In addition,
you can't get the Pawns' effect until the Search phase--which gives your
opponent time to pull out handy cards like Challenge the Sun or use
character's abilities like Scar, Alchemist Hunter.

Final Word: Overall, Foolish Pawns is a great card to have in a Homunculus
deck, and it isn't necessarily a bad choice for other decks either. Reducing
your opponent's attributes by 1 can put a major damper on their plans for
the Search and for Battle Phases. Like I said before, it's definitely one of
those cards that is here to stay for a while.

I give Foolish Pawns, Lust's Tools a 4 out of 5.

Today's card is Foolish Pawns. One of the best homoculus allies, this card is a staple in a homoculus deck. Making each character -1 to each attribute is a huge thing making this one of the first targets players will go after to attack. I can't see anyone who can't see this card as not being good. Not being a villian it is splashable in any deck and I've seen it in some weird decks before. This card combos well with most of homoculus cards because it lowers their wits so you can control the tempo.

Overall 5/5
