Wednesday, 06.30.04 - JK Rowling has announced the title of her 6th book in the Harry Potter series.  It's Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.  She gives a little information on her site about the Half Blood Prince (HPB).  She says the HBP is "neither Harry nor Voldemort".    She also said the "Chamber of Secrets" holds "some very important clues into the ultimate end of the series".  So, you may want to read that again.  ;-)

Monday, 05.12.03 - Four Arrested Over Dumped New Harry Potter Books

LONDON (Reuters) - British police investigating the alleged theft of advance copies of the eagerly awaited new Harry Potter book said on Thursday they had arrested four people.

Copies of 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,' to be published on June 21, were found earlier this week dumped in a field.  Police said in a statement that two 16-year-old boys and two men aged 18 and 44 were held in raids in Suffolk, eastern England late on Wednesday.  They were due to question the four, all from Suffolk, on suspicion of theft and trying to obtain property by deception.

Two copies of the fifth installment of the boy wizard's adventures were handed to the Sun newspaper earlier this week.  The paper said they had been found in a field next to a printworks which is churning out hundreds of thousands of copies of the book.
The first four Harry Potter books have now sold almost 200 million copies in 55 languages and 200 countries.

Harry Potter author overtakes British Queen in rich list

LONDON (AFP) - Bestselling writer J.K. Rowling , author of the Harry Potter books, is worth 280 million pounds (445 million dollars, 400 million euros), making her richer than Britain's Queen Elizabeth, according to the latest Sunday Times Rich List.

The annual survey of the 1,000 richest people in Britain showed that Rowling, 37, the wealthiest woman in the show business section, has more than quadrupled her fortune in the past two years.

Friday, 04.11.03 - I've got a wonderful idea. Since you all probably already go ahead and check out the Card of the Day section regularly anyways, how about I just post up here on the main page about the CotD theme on Fridays so you can have 4 days to try to guess what the theme is for yourself. ;-) It'll also help me from looking bad for being too busy to post about them daily here. Saturday, 03.15.03   - My friend Nancy helped assist on a New Harry Potter Analysis book: "Ultimate Unofficial Guide to the Mysteries of Harry Potter".  It's a detailed analysis Book 1-4.  The book breaks down each chapter looking for clues JK Rowling has hidden in the Storylines.  This book is over 400 pages long, and great nice if you are looking for a Harry Potter read to tide you over until Book 5 hits the stores.  You can pick it up from Amazon.com for about 30% off the cover price.

Saturday, 02.08.03 - Sorry for not updating alot this week.
