I know nothing of Fantomex outside of what I read on Whoclix and the derivative comments my friends made about is out-of-body nervous system / UFO mutant power.  Let’s just says that snickering is the common response to the question : ‘’Do you know who Fantomex is?’’   We’ll look at him as a Heroclix piece only J

His sculpt is one of the good action sculpts from Mutant Mayhem along with Count Nefaria and Deadpool.  The two copies I saw of him had really sloppy paint jobs but the overall feel of him is that he’s still pretty cool looking.

I love the combination of Outwit and Running shot on the first two clicks.   When used together, these can be deadly.

The stats on the character are high enough to be effective in all situations, an 11 on Attack and 17 of Defense is nothing to sneeze at.  After losing Outwit and Running shot, on his third click, he now gets to rely on Leap/Climb and Perplex making him mobile and still able to help the team out. Even on his 3rd click, he still maintains his 3 clicks of damage with an Attack 10!  This means that pushing Fantomex is not that bad of an idea.  It just gives you another good combination of powers to be applied to different situations.  When these are applied and how effectively is totally up to you J

The only real issue I have with Fantomex is what I believe to be a design flaw.  You have three targets and absolutely no powers to work with it.  No Energy Explosion, no Incapacitate, no Mind Control.  Nothing.  If I’m going to be paying for three targets on my dial, I’d like it to be to match a power that’s going to abuse it. In my opinion, it’s just wasted points for the character.  They could have reduced his number of targets to raise his range to worthwhile numbers.  Running shot with only 6 range is not that well designed in my book.

Overall, this is a very good secondary attacker that doubles as a support piece in 500-600 point games.

Without Victory, there is no survival...
