I’m writing this from the road and do not have an Internet connection.  My apologizes if anything is wrong, but it shouldn’t be, because I’m nearly completely perfect.

Today we will be reviewing TIGRA from the new Fantastic Forces set.  “Chicks with chest hair are not hot, brothers.” – Hulk Hogan

WHICH IS THE BEST:   THE VETERAN!

POINTS:  55, CLICKS 7, 6 range with a single target, Avengers Team Ability

MOVEMENT:  10 with Hyper Sonic Speed.  Later it moves to flurry.

ATTACK:  9,9,8,8,7,7 No abilities

DEFENSE:  16,16,16,15,15,14 Super senses through most of her dial.

DAMAGE:  1 damage through all her Hyper Sonic Speed clicks and two damage when she gains flurry.  It should be noted that Jolt has a push click and ON that push click she has battle fury.

FEATS:  Armor Piercing is Taylor made for Jolt, without it he is pretty worthless.  Incontact is also important to up either movement or her damage.  Be wary though, this makes her a 75 point character.

BATTLE FIELD CONDITIONS:  Astral Plane is not too bad here.  Ignoring hindering terrain can make jolt as good as a flyer.

HOW TO PLAY HIM:  Use Jolt to hit and run bigger characters getting them off those powerful opening clicks.  Or as I usually play Northstar, hit their medic and hide behind their own support characters so they can’t attack you.  This of course is a very conditional strategy.

HOW TO BEAT HIM:  Defeating HSS characters is tough and there is no doubt about that.  Make them come to you is the best idea.  Make them over extend their movement let them take their 1 or 2 damage shot then light her up from a ranged for her effort.

OVERVIEW:  Jolt is not too bad; she is cheap and has the best ability in the game…or close to it.  HSS is fabulous and 55 points is the right price.  She also has a long dial; something that the most comparable character Northstar does not.  However, Jolt is cursed with 1 damage and that always proves to be a fault.  Northstar’s two damage is just a lot better.  The points even out in the end for the both of them, since Jolt HAS to have armor piercing so the question becomes, is a small HSS character worth 75 points.  I think with enough con artists, yes.  The low attack value and the low damage keep her average, but HSS and super senses make her worthwhile.

3/5 300 Point Game

2.5/ 5 400 Point Game

2.5/5  500 Point Game (He’s a good secondary attacker)
