Now it’s Armor Wars time, Wendigo’s to be more
accurate. I have to say, I
love this guy’s sculpt… but that’s all I like about
him. He’s a R/E/V… which
one will I do? Certainly not the Rookie: it’s 40
points, and for 39 the LE
Ron Harper Jr. is much much better. Between the
Experienced and the Veteran
the difference is 20 points, and I feel you can do
better just taking the
Exp. (the vet. is not worth those extra 20) and
helping it with a couple of
Feats, maybe… so, the Exp: It’s 61 points, 8 clicks
of health, no TA, no
range…. mmm let’s see what else:
Stats:
Speed: 8, 8, 8, 8, 7, 7, 7, 7. It’s Flurry on the
3rd and 4th click, and
then Leap/Climb from 5th to the 7th
Attack: 9, 8, 8, 7, 7, 7, 6, 6. He starts with B/F/C
for the firsts 2 clicks
and then moves to Super Strength for the following
4.
Defense: 17, 16, 16, 15, 15, 14, 14, 13. He has
Toughness from the 1st to
the 5th click and then Regeneration on the 7h and
8th click.
Analysis: Wweellll… in a nutshell, the guy’s not
worth its 61 points. For
the same amount you can get better third string
attackers… He has no range
nor good movement powers, so he could use Tkers
help… but he can’t, because
of Battle Fury… He has Super Strength, but without
Charge or HSS, it’s not
really something, and Flurry without a B/F/C of high
values, it’s not so
cool either… his values all average at best, except
his defense, which I
could agree it’s nice, with those numbers and all
that Toughness…
Conclusion: Put ICWO, Automatic Regeneration on him…
nah, just trade it to
newbies, maybe they’ll fall for his cool Sculpt :P

Speed powers: 2 of Leap/Climb, 3 of Flurry, then finish off
with another 3 Leap/Climb
Attack powers: 3 of B/C/F, 4 of Super Strength, then 1 of
nothing
Defense powers: 5 of toughness then 3 of Regen
Damage powers: Battle Fury all the way down.
Review: Unlike the previous waste of a good space in a
booster pack (something about seeing Joker instead of my
Veteran Darkseid pisses me off) This guy is an awesome
secondary or close attacker. His numbers, a little low are
still good for your point cost and with a good little mix of
powers in there. The Battle Fury means no carrying, but who
carries anymore except Ant Man as a defender with Amazo? He
plays pretty simply, toss him in and let him shred up front.
A little down the way, if you feel for it, you can give him
the Pounce feat card, and leap in with a heavy object using
Super Strength for some big damage, then Regernerate it for
free using Auto Regen.
Overall he's a solid secondary piece, but beware of those
punks with the long range.
