ANALYSIS:
No move+attack powers means this caveman has a mobility problem -- add to his high price the cost of a TKer to get the most out of his high-damage, high attack and Super-Strong first clicks. Don't be afraid to push him, as he drops his opening Leadership for the much better Outwit. He also gets several clicks of Regeneration, which is good because his Defense numbers are pretty average for his cost, notwithstanding his solid Invulnerability, Toughness and Willpower in the slot. But due to his lack of 1st-strike ability, high price and high damage-dealing ability, he's going to take a lot of fire from the other side.

Beware of his late-dial Battle Fury making it hard to pull him out of a fight when his Defense becomes very hittable. Flurry on these clicks give him options other than Regen -- but it's an option that realistically, he's not really going to want to use at that point.

FEATS?
Naturally, one always should run an Injustice Leaguer with THE SOCIETY to replace the useless team ability with one somewhat better. If you're playing an Injustice League team, INSPIRING COMMAND is a great choice to keep him out of the immediate fray and make the team better. UNSTOPPABLE is a cheap aid to get him to his target. But above all I recommend AUTOMATIC REGENERATION to fully leverage those four clicks of Regen.

IN SUM:
A bit like the character himself, this clix is long-lived and tough, but in the end it's just a caveman and thus not quite great. Dangerous but not a game-breaker by any stretch.

Today we review the immortal caveman who is not immortal anymore, but living off the blood of his clones…nice

 

He is Unique, 133 points, 0 range, 10 clicks of life, AE (GL), and Injustice League team

Speed:  Just flurry at the end….that’s no good

Attack:   Nice and high and consistent, SS with no powers is pretty useless though

Defense:  Low numbers overall, but some damage reduction, and all the regen can keep him annoying

Damage:  I like, outwit and perplex always help, leadership is almost never useful, and battle fury…well…yeah

 
The Good:  High, consistent attack

      Decent damage numbers and powers

      Well placed regeneration slots

      IL team can help, but slap The Society on for 50% chance to avoid outwit

     

The Bad: No Movement

               No range

               SS with no powers

               Battle Fury

               Need a taxi or tk

               Low defense

               Will probably get taken out before he gets to hit someone


Feats:  The Society and Auto Regen work best 


Overall: Wow, we really have not seen a piece like this since the Black King in Armor Wars.  The bad thing is…he is like the Black King from armor wars.  No movement no range bricks are the biggest sitting ducks in the game, where even a piece with a 6 range can snipe him out.  His defense is low, meaning that he will probably take a couple hits before he can even get into the fray.  A TK or taxi piece is a must, but even then you are almost sacrificing another piece in order to get him into the fray.  Shellhead doesn’t even work good, because he only has 4 clicks of damage reducers.  This guy needs autoregen, the society, and a V Hive Trooper to taxi him around, all in total giving you 170 points of a piece that will do nothing in a game.  If he can get a first shot off he will probably hit for big, but in my opinion, just stay away.

He is 133 points; Injustice League Team; Grounded; 0 Range; 1 Bolt

 Speed  -- No move and shoot ugh. He's not fast enough to get by on his own either. What's Flurry doing at the end of the dial?

 Attack  -- Do I see the best attack in the whole Origin set? At least one of the best.. Three straight 11's WOW and Super Strength is the icing on the cake. For such a long dial, it never seems to decrease.

 Defense  -- Invulnerability is okay. I really like all that Regeneration. In one case, Vandal can Regenerate onto his 5th click then Regenerate back to his 1st click. Most of the time you will probably land on Willpower; that will help a lot though.

 Damage  -- ..Odd. I wish Outwit started. Perplex comes when his defense grows higher. The ending Battle Fury may slow down the retreat but maybe Flurry with 3 damage is worth it?

 Sculpt  -- Funny how Vandal SAVAGE looks like Macho Man Randy SAVAGE.

~ Vandal looks so much fun to play, but he has a major flaw: mobility. You'll have to snag a TKer or Taxi to lug him around the board. Nontheless, he seems viable to spend 130 points on. Protected, The Society, Automatic Regeneration (while it's still around).. My friend pulled one of these and I suggest you try to pull one to. ~
