STRENGTHS:
Dr. Strange is all about one thing: his Trait. Traits are a relatively new mechanic in HeroClix, being powers and abilities that cannot be countered or cancelled. Strange's is "Eye of Agamatto" which allows him to see past figures and hindering terrain like the old Trick Shot feat. Unlike Trick Shot, he can also use this Trait for non-attacks, such as his first Special Power, "Wand of Watoomb" (which gives him Perplex with a 33% chance of modifying +/- 2) or his later Outwit. All work in great concert with his natural 10 range and Incapacitate, Energy Explosion and Psychic Blast.

He also has Defend to share his 18 DV, making him great to bolster his own meat shields. Wildcard TA is useful (though his inability to share his high stats with certain teams is a new problem) and he's got good keywords.

WEAKNESSES:
No damage reduction. Slightly weak in close quarters. You'll almost never use his Winds of Watoomb's Quake option when you can Phase away instead.

CARDS TO CONSIDER:
PROTECTED, while good on all characters, makes more sense on Strange to preserve that opening Defend click and keep him from taking massive damage on that click. But if he's on a theme team, BRILLIANT TACTICIAN is the clear choice, as very little will ever block LOF to his team. (Remember, too, that he can Perplex down an enemy's DV before boosting his team, and that he has to make his roll for every target.)

IN SUM: The best anti-Stealth piece in the game, equal parts support fig and attacker. He needs some help but gives as much as he gets...worth every point. 4.5 of 5.
