As a 2/1 flyer for 2W, he's less than spectacular.  But it's his unmorphing ability that makes Wingbeat Warrior a good card in limited. Surprise first strike can be great removal for one of your blockers, and can completely screw with your opponent's math. In constructed, not a card that will see play, but a really nice addition to a limited white deck. Not a first pick, but a very nice mid pick in draft.

Constructed: 1.5
Limited: 4

Constructed: See yesterday.

Limited: The fact that this guy is a soldier helps with all of the Amplify soldiers in Legions, and giving a creature first strike really messes with combat. I'd play him if I had him, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get him. Probably 5th-8th pick.

Wingbeat Warrior
This guy is twice as good as he looks (I think I've said that before), and
he looks pretty good to start with.  Most of the time he ends up having
similar game impact to a skinthinner, sometimes better if they were double
blocking your fatty,  he's cheaper to do it, he flies after he's done, and
he's a bird and a soldier (which are the things that -might- let him see
constructed play, but don't hold your breath).
constructed 2.5
limited 4

Wingbeat Warrior has some good combat tricks and evasion with power greater than 1. Not great but not bad either.

Constructed – Decent but stronger picks readily available - 2.35

Limited – Much better here as combat tricks and evasion are at a premium – 3.00

PEZ – Okay but again nothing great – 2.25

       In constructed its nothing.

In limited its the white version of mistform dreamer. The morph doesn't always happen, but when it does it can be like a kill spell. Late game if you save its ability, when the opponent tried to kill your huge beast//good creature in a big block you can throw this at him and get free kills. One of whites best commons from Legions.

Limited: 3.5

Wingbeat Warrior

In constructed, it is more or less a pointless card.  Like most of the Morph
Ability creatures, this guy is slow, small, with an ability that isn't
entirely a game breaker for constructed.  Not to mention, when it comes to
flyer,s there's better for constructed.  Suntail Hawk, Gustcloak Harrier,
Battle Screech, and even Gustcloak Skirmisher are better and will see play
over this.

In limited, it can and will break people off.  This card gives large
creatures that don't have first strike to them, and makes them really
hazardous for you, or for your opponent.  The fact that it does so at
instant speed, and is a morph creature keeps your opponent on his or her
toes with the element of surprise.

Constructed - 1.5/5.0 (Small, Weak, Slow, and not going to change the game
too much.)
Limited - 4.1/5.0 (Allows you to shift the tide of a game by giving
creatures that shouldn't have first strike the ability, and keeping your
creature around while its blockers that should have killed it die.)
