This card is nasty.  It's well cost at 8, but the brutalness happens if you can bring him into play via Supplicant early.  It has a chance to be very disgustingly bad.  Black 6/6s have always been notoriously hard to deal with, and this one would REALLY punish you if you don't properly deal with him fast. Look for decks to get built around this guy.

In limited, you definitely play him.  Almost impossible to deal with, and his ability is just wrecking, not to mention being a trampling fat ass.

Constructed: 4
Limited: 5

Nasty ability, but the casting cost is high. Of course, as you know if you read yesterday's CotD, he has an alternative cc with Dark Supplicant. Still, outside of constructed, not easy to pull off at all. Luckily, in it's defense, it can cycle, which keeps it much more in the playable category for limited. In constructed, I suppose you could play him with a deck built around him, but still seems to run a bit slow for the environment.

Contructed: 2.5
Limited: 3.75

This guy has 2 things that make him very good:  1-he cycles,  thus he not
only doesn't clog up your hand,  but he puts himself in the graveyard to be
re-animated.  2-he has his little buddy to also help yank him into play.
fatties without paying their casting cost are rarely a bad thing.

constructed - 3.6
limited - 3 (maybe more if you've got the supplicant too)

6/6 Trample Reanimator, WOW and cycling, He's just
asking to be reanimated.  He's powerful and Dark
supplicant can get him out 3rd turn if your lucky, but
I'd just play this guy in reanimator, maybe MBC.
Limited, he's a bomb!

Contructed:2.5
Reanimator:4.5
Limited:4.5

Scion of Darkness – Like I said yesterday, I believe that this card is playable. In a cleric based deck you can fetch him early with the Supplicants or you can have a recursion type deck and cycle him out of your hand and then bring him back to life. With 2 good ways to get around his high CC I would say his abilities are well worth the discounted price.

Constructed – Build a deck around him, I don’t know if it will be the deck to beat but you can bet a lot of other players will be doing the same thing. Also, cards with internal synergy are really neat – 4.25

Limited – He is a super huge card advantage beat stick if he comes out, but I don’t know how likely you are to see him and have the mana. Only steal him if you are going Black – 4.50 (going Black)
