I do wonder about this guy in OBC.  In the cleric deck, he could be very annoying.  I don't quite think he'd make the cut.

Solid in limited.  Blocks morph, is real annoying, and with multiple clerics in play can shut down an attacker or blocker.  Not outstanding, but solid.

This guy is almost interesting, but not quite. In constructed, you'd have to have a focused Cleric deck, but I don't know if he's worth the space. It's freakin' 1am here, and I just don't want to hurt my brain thinking about it.

In limited, his ability really only works if you pull a mondo Cleric deck somehow, or make it to late game. White does have the potential to do that. It does have the nice advantage of being able to block early morphers with it's 3 toughness.

Limited: 3.5

A nice cleric. First, you get a 1/3 for 3. Nice backside to stop morphs. Next, you can pay 1W, and make them pay mana equal to the number of Clerics in play to attack with that creature. This is also cumulative, so if you target a creature twice, they have to pay twice that much, etc.

In limited, the ability gets even better, as you can basically shut down their Silvos/Rorix/etc.

My favorite dude in draft.  Pass it to me and I'll gobble it up.  Too
mana-intensive for constructed though.
limited - 3.5
constructed - 2.8

Whipgrass Entangler is interesting. It helps a lot that the card has consistency – it is defensive, has a decent toughness, and combines well with Clerics who are generally able to keep themselves alive. A little slow for overall but an interesting pick.

Constructed – May be playable against the new storm of WW, Sligh, and the Wurm decks but only in Cleric decks that haven’t seemed to take off – 2.35

Limited – Everyone has a lot of mana and a lot of creatures and the number of Clerics in your deck is probably low, though not too bad nowadays. Basically, his ability is weakened in this format where all the creature battles would make it most useful. In some ways the issues become a wash, almost – 2.15

PEZ – Clerics are playable here and there are a lot of creatures decks so this guy will probably make the cut – 2.65

I like this guy's effect, even tho you can't use it until turn 4 I still
think he's pretty cool. Granted I would take the white muse over him any day
of the week but I still consider his effect.... neat. In limited he coul;d
save you and force your opponent to wate a removal speel on him and if they
don't have one he could keep your opponent from attacking for a while.

Constructed 1.5

Limited 3

I know IQ keeps threatening me that he'll pair this with the Windborn Muse to get a soft lock against his opponents creatures.  It has potential but I don't know if it will be fast enough.  Whipgrass Entangler just doesn't look like he can win the card slots from the actual tappers who are in the environment, but if you need to slow down a whole army it just might be what you're looking for.

Limited:  This guy is amazing early game and horribly annoying for your opponent's late game.   Many pros think this is the best common from Legions, I haven't found many who disagree.

Constructed: 3

Limited: 4.5

This guy is good times.  The power and toughness on this creature is decent.  Looking at the constructed aspect, you have to go a little out of your way to take advantage of this creature.  However, if you do, you might be able to stall out your opponent's side of the board while your creatures keep serving through.

Obviously, this is a creature that is much better for limited than constructed.  Its fairly easy to draft into the cleric theme to take advantage of its ability as well.  It's not a first pick by any means, but it is a decent pick if you don't see much else to help your deck along.

Constructed: 2.4
Limited: 3.4

This card is pretty good in sealed if you can get him. Hes a little underrated. I try to avoid playing white in draft though, unless I must. He is 1/3 though so if you go first he makes a good morph blocker. If your opponent has lots of clerics too this guy can be insane, but its real rare for that to happen. Seeing how legions is the last pack you open you can't make a deck around him without guessing to get these and if you do you'll usually only get maybe one.

And as for constructed, this is a legions card and its not rare. Its useless here.

Constructed: 1
Limited: 2.8
