Friday - Red Hot Hottie

I can see how this can be quite fun. It's also a great 4 mana creature, as it has a large rear. But I don't find the drawback very fun.

So, against people like me, this has a basilisk type effect.

Red Hot Hottie

Last Tuesday night, my opponent had two of these 2/5 girls in play, and I had to repeatedly allow them to attack me unblocked. You see, we were playing in the Guildhall, the upstairs loft where the team practices each week. Downstairs, I had a wife and a five year old trying to sleep. The Unhinged ability of Red Hot Hottie to make me scream real loud (like when someone says the secret word in Pee Wee's Playhouse) caused me to take LOTS of damage. If this were not an Unhinged card, without the special making-you-scream ability, a 2/5 for 2RR would be decent at least.

Red Hot Hottie

I don't know what to think of this card. It looked good when playing in a couple drafts, but I've never seen it actually do anything useful in a game when played. I wonder if making it a 3/4 would have been the way to go. It is a good filler for a draft deck but far too small to be good in a constructed deck. Feel free to take it as a middle pick in a pack, or play it as a 20-22 card in a sealed deck, but don't put too much faith in it.

Red Hot Hottie - Friday

I looked at this card and it's freakin' cool! Unfortunately, it doesn't really do a whole lot. For four mana you don't get a real powerful character. It was interesting to her some people scream "AAAAAHHHH!" each turn. There was one guy that had to scream it three and four times a turn. It was good stuff. So from a humor standpoint, it's pretty funny. It can be a bit disruptive though in many situations. Neat card, but not that strong.

Red-Hot Hottie --

I'm sitting on the fence with this card. On one hand, you do have a good shot of putting some counters on creatures before Red-Hot Hottie eventually goes down to larger creatures. However, you will need your opponent to opt to block with a creature that will stay alive *and* that won't send Red-Hot Hottie the way of the dodo. Otherwise, you'll have to leave her back on defense and hope that she can do some good blocking whatever comes your way. Overall, I'm going to say this card is mediocre at best.

In limited, I won't complain too much about a 2/5 body, especially when I don't see too many huge creatures in Unhinged. She should serve as a decent blocker.
