Tim Stoltzfus Psychic Vortex

Psychic Vortex is one of those cards that, someday, will be looked back on as the card that set the precedent for some extremely powerful card. The idea of a cumulative upkeep of draw a card is one that is very cool, but very hazardous, so the first time they made it, they erred very much on the side of caution. The amount of cards this card can allow you to draw gets ridiculous very quickly, and might be decent in casual play, using some of the imprint cards in Mirrodin block that allow you to effective play spells from cards in play. Otherwise, we’ll continue waiting for the good iteration of this card.

Psychic Vortex - Rare- WL

hey peoples, today we have a really strange card: Psychic Vortex

now what makes this card so crazy to start is its the only card with a POSATIVE cumulavite upkeep. Which is the reason why i choose this card for today.

this card is pretty much a one sided howlingmine with a hideous drawback making this card almost unplayable, but if you play it with something like... crucible of worlds, then you got a pretty nifty combo out there, as long as you play your cards every turn you will have a a free 2 cards everyturn with almost no drawback. otherwise... its a crap rare =/

Ratings:
constructed- 2/5 nothing special here, not good enough to make even tier 2
limited- 2/5 card advantage is good here, but the land disadvantage can hurt a lot
casual- 4/5 a fun card that can have lots of combos

final thought- if you want a ability like this, stick to grafted skullcap
