I like this card, and I fully expect it to see
some tournament play down the road. That
expectation doesn't come from it being a 4/3
flying first-striker for six mana, nor does it
come from the life gain aspect. Returning the
creature *to play* is what does it for me.
Firemane Angel is a great tool against decks
that want to drag the game out and win the slow
way. Yes, they may have creature control, but
how much do they have? Firemane Angel can start
coming back every turn, and she is an issue.
For limited purposes, I'm pretty sure this card
is considered a bomb. It's large, it first
strikes, and it can come back from the grave.
Good beats all around, draft it up first pick.
The "good" angel. For only 5 mana, you get a 4/3
Flying First Strike that can recur if you get up
enough mana, AND gains you life each of your
upkeeps whether on the board or in the grave. A
great deal, really. Probably still a bit too
expensive to make constructed, but you
absolutely play it in draft and sealed if you
can swing the colors.

Phoenix Tamer
Firemane Angel
Pretty to say the least, but really nothing
more.
Pretty weak of an angel if you ask me. I pulled
this in a draft last friday, and passed it, and
in the end ended up winning the draft. It does
get tricky if you let its effect get out of
hand, but overall nothing more then a pretty
face.
