Mouth of Ronom

Usually colorless direct damage has to be either really expensive or really limited to see print, since its being colorless means every color can use it-- even green and blue, who are supposed to be terrible at direct damage. This card splits the difference--it's kind of expensive(six mana total for a 4-point burn) and kind of limited (needs snow mana), but by being both, it makes each one easier to deal with. Green will certainly be able to pay the cost, what with Boreal Druid and Into the North. So it seems that every color now has access to a one-time shot of 4 damage to a creature. Four colorless, uncounterable damage. Sounds good.

Constructed- 3.5
Casual- 4.5
Limited- 4.5

Mouth of Ronom - Of all the nonbasic snow lands, this may be the best one in limited. 4 damage is a hefty amount, capable of killing most of the problem creatures in the format, and it gives an edge to some color combinations which would be without decent removal otherwise like green/white. The fact that it's a snow land doesn't hurt either. It can allow you to use your snowy abilities early and can be searched out with Into the North.
Land-finding that doubles as removal is always a good thing.

Casual Rating - 2.8
Limited Rating - 3.2

Too slow for constructed. One of the few removal spells for Coldsnap that can do significant damage at 4. Nice, because you can fit it in any color deck, as long as you have some snow mana to back it up. Probably too boring for casual.

I fell in love with this card the moment I saw it. It's creature destruction on a land, which means the opponent won't be able to counter it (unless they run Squelch, but who uses that?). Four damage to a creature is nothing to scoff at, since almost all creatures in the current format get destroyed by Mouth of Ronom, sans the Dragons and Simic Sky Swallower. This is also one of those cards that you use no matter what if you get it in limited, since any sort of creature removal is playable.

Constructed: 3.5 - Expect people to use this card.
Casual: 4 - It's just so freaking cool.
Limited: 5 - Creature removal = good. Creature removal for any color = Amazing.
