Well, that mana cost is downright prohibitive, but I'd say you get what you pay for. This particular demigod goes particularly well with Martyr of Sands and Honden of Cleansing Fire; as such, there may not be so much use for her in the new Standard, but she is sure to be the bane of plenty of damage-based decks at kitchen tables around the world for years to come. Assuming we haven't forgotten about Shadowmoor block drafting yet, she is also a pretty good reason to play heavy black and/or white. Flying creatures are always useful, and an eight-point life swing every turn is hard for anyone to deal with.

This is a pretty good finisher for those B/W deck, and monoblack could attempt to play this since Korlash will bite the dust very shortly in Standard. Sadly the deck this goes in is hardly top tier lowering this guys playability. If this gets 1 or 2 hits though, it's essentially game since this is immune to a lot of removal and no deck can race a life difference of 16 per turn.

Divinity of Pride

Constructed: Last day of September. Two days before Shards comes out. This little number is a nice Spirit Avatar. You have to use Black and/or White to play it. It is a 4/4 Flyer for 5 mana and has lifelink. And than it gets bigger when you have 25 or more life. Watch out. Not much can take this card out by itself.

Casual: This card is great in any casual setting.

Limited: This is one of the top bombs in Eventide only draft. Hog up all of the Unmakes. Just have to watch out for Snakeform. Sealed deck it is very playable, but it can be Flame Javelin before it got bigger.

Overall a interesting card tied in with the players life total. White always does not, but Black sucks life from you.

Creature - Spirit Avatar Flying, lifelink
Divinity of Pride gets +4/+4 as long as you have 25 or more life.

Nothing special. Nice beater, no real deck to call home. The effect is basically in win-more but nice to have in Limited. People will be scared of this is multi so don't plan on it or you living long it you get over 25 life.
