Titan's Strength

Titan's Strength gives you an awful lot of value packed into a single one-mana instant. It may not dominate both sides of combat to the extent that Giant Growth does, but it makes up for that with by making their throwaway tokens useless by granting trample. Besides, adding three power to any creature is usually enough to ensure a favorable trade at any point in the game. It's getting to scry, though, that really makes this card worth playing. Aggressive red decks have spent most of Magic's history having to live blind off the top of their deck, even in most of their successful periods. Aggressive red decks that can filter card quality are truly something to be feared.

The number five card of the year is Titan's Strength which is a one mana Red instant that gives target creature +3/+1 and you Scry 1. For Red this is generally as effective as a Giant Growth and naturally benefits
from being combined with combat effects like First Strike.   This will
usually be as effective as a Lightning Bolt with the addition of Scry which makes the only minimal drawback being needing a creature and not facing a threat too big to destroy. Overall a combat trick that should see a large number of slots across current formats in aggro builds.

In Limited this is a great card to have in multiples and all copies should be played in Sealed whenever running or splashing Red.  In Booster this can be a very early pick after a Red rare as it almost always has value either offensively or defensively as well as improving the odds on your next draw.
