Deceiver of Form

I'm glad this card's ability made it into Oath of the Gatewatch. There was a time when cards of this style - quirky and complicated but with a spectacular payoff - felt more common. They sort of fell by the wayside for a while, but I think it's good that they exist: not all of them appealed to me, but it's important to remind people once in a while that they can make a crazy deck or two and that doing so can be fun. I'm not sure how often you'll be able to set up the trigger reliably in smaller formats, and in any event there are few things in those sorts of formats that you really benefit from having eight copies of per se. But if nothing else, you have an 8/8 Eldrazi and all the benefits that brings, and it's an interesting enough variant on Mass Polymorph to warrant some consideration. The fact that it's colorless also makes it an interesting option to try in various Commander decks - red and green decks in those formats have historically had little access to this kind of effect.

Uhh.... huh. Well it's an 8/8 for 7, it kinda scrys when it attacks, but only at the risk of preparing the opponent for your next move. the changing other stuff into other stuff is too situational, but it's a may so I guess it's okay? It won't set the world on fire, but it's not inherently terrible.
