dust2dust Disguise Jutsu (earth style)

Pro:
-low cost
-multi-target

Con:
-does not negate all

Welcome to week of negation: all the jutsu you’ll need to counter your opponent’s most powerful stuff. Today we review what I feel is the best earth negation in Naruto.

General-
For 1 earth and 1 anything, you can stop your opponent from hitting you with stuff like 8 trigram, fireballs, water vortex, or even great breakthroughs. Cards that normally win the game are now uselessly tossed out and all of it for just 2 chakra. What a deal.

The down side is that this does not stop jutsu that targets only the user of the jutsu, like kunai. That’s why this card is at its worst when playing against taijutsu decks. Even with that weakness, however, disguise is still the worst nightmare against decks like fire/water, for they only play jutsus that target the opponent ninja.

There is another earth card that can potentially negate effects of jutsu. That card is headhunter jutsu. That card is worse that disguise jutsu because it requires a chunin to play and it only negates jutsus played by back ninjas. It is better in the long run because it does weaken your opponent’s team. While headhunter can be better overall, Disguise jutsu is still a better earth negation.
