Uberdylan

Rasengan

We have three Rasengans this set. All require 2 Lightning and one colorless and give a Fourth, Jiraiya, or clone status Naruto +7. The first turns a Victory into an outstanding victory, the second (the one we're reviewing) rewards a Victory or Complete Victory with you drawing a card, and the third deals one damage to a Healthy stand-by Ninja.

I prefer the second the best, as you're likely to get an Outstanding Victory anyway, and the third can only damage a healthy standby ninja; not very useful. Even so, 2L 1C for one jutsu is a lot, especially if most of the effect is a stat gain (although +7 is a lot). Theoretically, a Naruto could surprise a bigger ninja with this and force them to use a jutsu, but a good player could probably play around that, and you'd need Clone Status. I'd suggest sticking to your normal jutsus for the most part.

Constructed: 3.2/5

Beastly Mage

Rasengan

Ah, the Spiraling Sphere Technique. This version is the starter deck version, which makes it pretty easy to get. Like the Chidori, there's only a limited amount of Ninjas that can use it (Yondaime, Jiraiya, Naruto + Clone Status), and it's got a nice effect: a combat increase of 7 PLUS if the user scores a victory or outstanding victory you draw a card. Pretty decent second effect. Lightning decks can benefit from this card. Try it and see.

The First Hokage

Rasengan

Today we look at the Starter Deck Rasengan, which is a decent card and a Rasengan card that doesn't give a negative effect. Whenever your team wins any kind of victory, you get to draw a card. The card costs 2 Lightning and 1 random chakra, but that shouldn't be a problem since Release of Chakra has popped into the scene which should give you the necessary chakra needed to use Rasengan. A popular deck type right now is Recylegan, so you should be able to get the Rasengan's back to your hand as well. A nice deck type. A lot of people would prefer the true Super Rare over this, but this is still a nice version.

My ratings:

Constructed: 4/5
Limited: 3.5/5

Rasengan

This card is getting better. If you use the old rasengan, YOU MUST replace the old ones with this new one. You still get the enormous boost and the new cards are better since the old ones had a negative effect of hurting your ninja. The effect is okay, the boost of 7 will probably let you get a victory easily. Drawing cards is okay, but it is only one will not be of use most of the time.
Comparing it with Chidori, this card gives you 2 more power and the effect isn't all that good as Chidori. This card can do really well in a deck that is dedicated to it, or a lightning deck ( if lightning is the only element you focus on ). The requirements are easy enough, you could get a few Jiraiyas and make sure that your Narutos are all clone status.
Try it and see. The only thing I have to say is if you use the old one, replace it with the new ones because of the negative effect.
