Jirobo
[State 1]

Card Number: N-251

Review Date: 11.06.07

Average Card Rating

Constructed: 3.00
Limited: 3.20

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale. 1 being the worst. 3 = average. 5 is the highest rating.

Uberdylan

For all of the Four Sound Ninja:

They take too long to play (if you play all in a row, you won't get the last out until turn 6, and then you'll get run over by Jonins) and I see little point to their effects. Two Chakra for a +1/+1 wasn't great last time I checked. And I don't believe any jutsu in the set has anything to do with them all having growth; if I missed something, I apologize.

Constructed/Limited: 1.5/5

Beastly Mage

Jirobo [State 1]

Another Super Rare Sound Ninja, this one being the big bruiser of the group. Being able to become a 6/1 Ninja at the beginning of the turn is a good thing for certain situations. If you're thinking of making a Sound Deck, this guy definitely goes there. Try it and see.

The First Hokage

Jirobo[State 1]

Another Sound 5 Super Rare, with the same abilities as his normal squad. For 2 Chakra, he gets growth making him an uber powerful 6/1. Solid stats especially for turn 3. I'd only use him with a Tempo deck or maybe a themed deck because of how solid most of these new Sound 4 Ninja are. In addition, this gives Water a huge pump up since all of the Sound Ninja are water. They didn't need more possible brokeness with all of these new Water additions, but they'll take it. Water is probably one of the most solid elements right now for Naruto since Fire got errata'd by two cards. For limited, this guy is a monster and should be used. :)

My ratings:

Constructed: 3.25/5
Limited: 4.25/5

 Jirobo
Hmm...interesting. Getting a 5/0 on turn 3 isn't bad, but for water, I suggest Haku. With growth, it can be a 6/1 on turn 4, but still, with no extra effects, a 6/1 is still a 6/1, not a 6/1 with an ES effect. If it could become a 7/1 then maybe it is playable, however, after you get the 3-4 BR from turns 3-5, you get screwed by ES, Substitution Jutsu, Anything that damages ninja, etc.

Overall, if you can base a deck around this guy, he is good. However....

Constructed:4/5 (if a deck is based around him, like 2 if it isn't)
Limited: 3/5 (I'm only saying that cos it is an SR and you ALWAYS pull the SR above all else...go sell it on Ebay or something)

4. Jirobo (state 1)

Let's see, he has godly 5/0 healthy and konohamaru 0/0 when injured. You can growth him if you're lucky. The effect is average, to get +1/+1 by discarding two chakras. Again, good thing about growth is that it works if you are injured. Not a good card, for its terrible injured stats. Sorry about the short review.

My ratings:

Constructed: 2.9
Limited: 2.5

TODAY'S Card is Flab. Flab Is a giant. Flab's a turn three with FFFIIIIIIVVVVVEEEEEEE Combat!!!!! Unfortunately, its other stats are ALL 0. Just like Kidomaru, Flab eats up two chakra and poops out a Growth Coin. Since his other stats are so bad, and lots of Medical Ninja have Support-Based stats, Flab's second alternative for a deck would be Medical. He'd pack a punch and, well, nahh. Flab doesn't belong in a medical deck, but that and the aforementioned Chakra-Building Deck are the only other places he can fit in.

Flab gets:
3/5
5/5
Art: FLLLLLLAAAAAAAAABBBB!!!!!!!!YYYYY!!!!!
