Beastly Mage

Naruto Uzumaki & Jiraiya

For the last card of this week we have the Naruto/Jiraiya tin promo. With 7/2 both healthy and injured, this card is pretty strong for Lightning Decks. He's got a combination of all Jiraiya and Naruto stats, including Clone Status and Oil combat attribute. The effect... it's valid! You can do one of two things with the effect (and a Rasengan): either play it for free and have this platoon not be removed from play by Jutsus during this turn OR pay for it and not have it (the Rasengan) negated. That can be just crazy for some people, but I like it. In the right deck, this can be simply brutal.

Naruto Uzumaki & Jiraiya(Ultimate Training).  A new Naruto & Jiraiya platoon, this time with a really good effect.  This platoon can use Rasengan for no cost, and the platoon can't be removed from play by your opponent's jutsus that turn.  Or, you can pay the cost and the jutsu can't be negated.  This is really nice, since either way makes it easier to get Rasengan off, and by the time you play the platoon you'll know which type of jutsus your opponent is running, so you'll be able to decide which way to play the jutsu accordingly.  Also, even if your opponent runs straight negation, if you choose not to pay for the jutsu, that leaves you chakra to negate their negation jutsu.  These effects are also VALID, and on a 7/2,7/2 Sannin.  This ninja alone can make Rasengan decks playable, maybe not highly competitive, but definitely more so.

Constructed:4.5/5(Rasengan deck)

Limited:1.5/5(Tin tournament, I participated in one, chose this tin, and pulled not only zero Rasengans, but zero Narutos and Jiraiyas.)
