Beastly Mage

Kankuro [Mimicry]

Welcome to another week of reviews, Naruto fans. Today's card is the newest version of Kankuro. He's now a turn-2, with 2/2-1/1 and a new effect. When he's in the same team as at least one puppet, nobody in his team (including himself) can be targetted by jutsus or missions your opponent controls. That's a pretty good effect, but: can you pull it off? In a dedicated Puppet Master deck, yes, you could. Anywhere else, dunno. Stats are a bit low, but not exactly terrible. Guess that's what happens when you let the puppets do all the fighting.

Ratings:

Limited: 2/5
Constructed: 4/5 (puppet master deck)
Art: 3/5

Wyatt Kankuro N-269. This is probably the best Kankuro out now. Most(if not all) Kankuros revolve around puppets, and this one makes his team untargetable by justus or mission cards, as long as there is a puppet in there. True, they're still open to ninja effects, but puppets have the same stats healthy/injured, and Kankuro's effect is valid. His stats aren't great, a turn 2 with 2/2,1/1 stats, but not horrible. Also, he doesn't have growth, but then again, pretty much noone except leaf ninjas(and the Sound 5 in their state 1 forms) have growth. There are other good Kankuros with lower turn cost, and good puppet effects, but this is still probably the best kankuro for puppet decks.

Constructed:4/5(puppet decks only)
Limited:2/5 (+.05 for each puppet you pull.)
Today we review the new Kankuro Card! Personally, I HATE! Kankuro… But he IS a little broken!

Fist of all, he has pretty good stats, at 2/2-1/1. And with Crow [Tactical Puppet] as a Turn 2 3/3-3/3, and Black Ant as 2/2-2/2, and their PLATOON at 5/5-5/5, this is the Kankuro that makes a well-built Puppet Deck broken.

If a 5/5-5/5 and a 2/2-1/1 wasn’t good enough Kankuro can even shield his WHOLE team, providing a Puppet is in it (which are very strong) from Jutsu!!!
And finally, since damage-causing Jutsu is only half-effective on Puppets, thanks to their rather mono stats (Injured stats stay the same as Healthy), Kankuro shuts down the other half, and with his new Jutsu , the Puppets only weakness (if you can even CALL it a weak spot), battle damage, also shuts down!

4/5 in a well-built Puppet Deck
.... Anyone play Animal Crossing Wild World online? My email is destinyhero@verizon.net and I NEED somebody to play with :)
