Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu

Hey there, Naruto Fans. Sorry I've been away. I've had my hands full with a few things lately. Well, enough about me. Let's get on with the review.

Fireball Jutsu's latest version is pretty good. For one "Fire" and two colorless you can give one damage to the target (any one Ninja battling the user). But, if the target is a "Flame" combat attribute Ninja, then the user gets one damage as well. Since there aren't that many "Flame" Ninjas out there you have a sure bet you're gonna get away with damaging the opposing Ninja with no side-effects. Try it and see.

Happy November everyone! In honor of the election, we here at Pojo decided to preview some cards in the next set, “Approaching Wind!”

Today we bring in a rather spiffy new starter deck Jutsu Card; Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu. This card is actually available in the new starter decks that just came out this past weekend. We’ve seen several types of Fireball, but this one really shines. It’s amazingly cheap for a 1 ninja target that just pops them for a damage. Anyone can use it, and its downside is completely minimal. The only ninja currently are Sasuke from set 3 and prior, and both of Sasuke’s parents. That is only 3 ninja’s that will hit you back with this card, not bad at all! For the price, the fact that any ninja can use it, and that it can target any ninja (especially those pesky ones that like to use an effect during the now chainable exchange of jutsu) this card is a staple for fire!

Hello, folks! Sorry for being MIA last week... I had quite a bit of preparation to do prior to the new format. PM me some time and I can fill you in on exactly what the new format had to do with me. Anyways... on to today's card.

This week, we bring you a string of reviews related to cards being previewed for Set 11: The Approaching Winds.

And, we start with J - 367: Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu

So, for the cost of 1 Fire chakra and 2 random chakras (3 total), you get to give 1 Damage to "1 Ninja."

There are a lot of decent and no-so-good versions of the Fireball Jutsu in existence. And, this one does seem to have its pros and cons...

--Pros--

  > Needs only 1 specific (Fire) and 2 random. Gigantic Fan can't touch this.

  > Any ninja can use this.

  > You can target *any* Ninja... not just a Ninja the user is battling against.

  > Gives a nice straight-up 1 Damage.

--Cons--

  > Costs a total of 3 chakras. There will be times when 3 chakras might not be available.

  > You lose 4 cards if this gets negated.

  > The giving 1 Damage to a Ninja isn't exactly game-winning in most cases.

  > Could pose a problem if you are playing against a Sasuke/Fire deck.

Over all, the card is quite easy to use and can easily fit into any deck using some Fire. The requirement of having at least 1 Fire chakra is fairly easy to meet. Try it and see if you like it.

Mark Howard Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu

A costly Jutsu that can backfire. Especially with the Fire Element, there are a lot better cards out there than this.
