Beastly Mage

Impersonation Jutsu

We finally see one of the Akatsuki's signature techniques! This Jutsu card actually becomes an in-the-battlefield Ninja (with no effect text) with the same name as one you already have in play. This could be good if you use such Ninjas as Deidara and need to use one of his Jutsus with more than one team. Great thing is that this card doesn't receive damage and stays in play until the end of the turn. Then, it becomes Chakra. For two colorless, this is quite good. Try it and see.

Ratings:

Limited: 1/5 (dunno the chance of drafting at least one Akatsuki here)
Constructed: 3/5
Art: No kids, that's not the Yondaime...-_-/5

Happy Friday again everyone! Today we finish our water previews and also the top ten cards of 2008. Hope you enjoy it.

Final Water Preview Card

Impersonation Jutsu

Our final card that we end with is…a disappointment unfortunately. This is the first jutsu we’ve seen that can use any Akatsuki as its requirement. It makes a copy of the user with no effect texts. It’s main use is to give a boost to another one of your teams. Unfortunately the user that gets copied has no effect text, which in my opinion hurts the playability of this card. You can however use this card to make a copy of oh say Deidara and have a jutsu card using more jutsu cards (single user requirement ones). It’s interesting for sure, but I don’t ever see this thing impacting the meta at all. Limited though, it might have a decent use if you pull one of the Akatsuki.

Limited: 4/5

Constructed: 2/5 (I just don’t think you’ll have the space for this card)

Art: This is our first glimpse of Pain/Pein is it not?

Okay, today we have a new preview from Set 12: A New Chronicle called Impersonation Jutsu.  Now though it is a Water jutsu, it has two generic chakra for a cost meaning you can splash this into any deck.  This card is basically just another puppet master or Combination Transformation in the form of an Akatsuki copy.  Basically, if you need a quick boost, maybe you can copy Itachi or Zetsu.  I'm not a fan of copying jutsu really so this doesn't really do it for me but maybe it can be good as a surprise one-of tech.  Wait...Iruka AA and Pakkun work on the copy, I think I see light!

Constructed: 2.5/5 (Might find use, but a possible 10/5 with Itachi, and Fugaku and the above vanilla boosters out might be fun)
Limited: Don't know yet.
N. Jolly J-411 Impersonation Jutsu

And more Akatsuki fun! Here's a Water Jutsu, two colorless,Akatsuki requirement, and what it'll do make a copy of the user that you can put anywhere in the team. A copy that has the same stats, but no effect text. But unlike any other summon jutsu, this card can't recieve any damage, and when the turn ends, it'll go to chakra...

So what, it's a shield? I'm not really getting the point of this card other than possibly making an invincible chump block or somthing...I don't get it...

Limited:?/5
Constructed:1/5
Art:3/5 It's kinda cool, and I think there first card with Pain.
