StormVyper Zera Chidori Stream

It's no big mystery that single-user jutsus are usually a big no-no, unless of course they are absolutely brutal. For two chakra, this card pretty much says "you win an OV", but the fine print reads "only applicable when your opponent does nothing". At least the first one could be used to counter jutsu. Why this card is a super rare, I will never really understand. Makes no sense to make a pack super which you can only pull on a gamble be inferior to the tin version which is a guaranteed pull. Meh, I'm sure there will be some kids who will see shiny foil and Sasuke, and trade too much for it.

Master Wang Chidori Stream

WHOO! I'm back after a long week of tiredness! Let's review some cards!!!

Oh my, just when I thought the promo Chidori Stream was good enough, I had to see another one...and it's a super rare, no less. First off, 0 to everything is awesome and negating effects are even more awesome, but so is damaging and making standby ninjas, so while it is valid that the jutsu is certainly worth its salt, the big question is, which will you run?

Promo:
Negate effects
Give 1 Damage
Make ninjas w/ <= EC standby
Costs 3 & splashable

SR:
Negate effects
Make 0 to everything
Costs 2 and not as splashable

Both cards fundamentally work differently. One flat out does damage while the other works on stats. It comes down to preference, I believe. Both jutsu's wreck hard and I can't complain on either that much individually due to the balance of power. The promo Stream indeed does more, but it costs more in consequence, granted Water isn't that shy with 3 cost jutsu's.

I do believe it just comes down to preference in the end to actually judge the better, but this SR Chidori Stream isn't that disappointing frankly. If you hate the 3 cost, this is what you get, so of course you're not gonna get as much...nothing to hold against the card really.

Limited: 3/5 *good luck pulling Sasuke*
Constructed: 4/5 *the promo would be a 4.5/5 in case you were curious*
Art: WOW! A pic of Sasuke where his chest isn't completely exposed! O-O /5
Mayur V. Chidori Stream

Today, we have the Super Rare version of Sasuke's jutsu, Chidori Stream. Now, we have two Chidori Streams, the one in the tins, and the one from the Foretold Prophecy. To be honest, I think I prefer the tin version to this card by far. The problem that I have with this jutsu is that it does nothing on a jutsu chain. Like if my opponent plays trigrams, this card will not stop my ninja from getting pinged to the top of my deck. I just don't see how this card can help you win a jutsu exchange, which is what most jutsus should aim to do.

What I do like about this card is its ability to shut down ninja effects while giving you an OV. This could be helpful in a situation where a ninja's effect is activated during the Exchange of Jutsu.

Constructed: 2.75/5 <----- Better than mediocre (2.5), but not worth the SR rarity that it has.

Limited: 2/5 <----- Good luck pulling both this and a turn 4 Sasuke. I believe that there are two this set that can be pulled in packs, one being an SR and one being a Rare. However, if you do pull both, this should give you a very solid advantage.
