Beastly Mage

The Demon Brothers Gouzu

Today's card is half of the Demon Brothers. Once he hits the field, be it by deployment or by anything else, helps you by tutoring his brother. If you decide to put Meizu in your hand, you shuffle your deck. Simple enough, you'd say. Thing is that with End of the Demon going around so much these two are lethal. In constructed, that can be a nightmare. On top of that he's got good stats (no ambush though).

StormVyper Zera The Demon Brothers Gouzu

When we first caught wind of these cards, there effects were speculated to be something fierce; both Ninja had the Ambush characteristic, and when you put one in play, it allowed you to search for and put in play the other as well. Oh well, a rumor is a rumor. I honestly feel it wouldn't have been terrible to have one of those rumors actually be true. Either way, this guy is the primary ammunition for those cool new End of the Demon decks that've come out in this set.

Master Wang The Demon Brothers Gouzu/Meizu~Same Wavelength

Another day, another card and HEY! I remember these guys!

Gouzu and Meizu, the first playable Water T2's in the game, now with an effect! *HUZZAH!* Simple: Put one in play, get the other into your hand! Great tempo and draw power, however, in terms of playability, there is still plenty of other Water T1's and 2's to consider. Decks that will staple these cards are End of the Demon and perhaps Water tempo. These effects are very nice nonetheless and shouldn't be looked down upon. Surprisingly, Ambush isn't present with either of them, of which one would think these two would deserve it since they were actually one of the first ones to ever do it in the show/manga!

Good tempo and draw power, but the injured status and mediocre stats makes their visit very short and bittersweet.

Limited: 4/5
Constructed: 3/5
Art: Chain, chain, chaaaaaaaiiiiin! /5
