N-687 Naruto Uzumaki & Sai [STRAINED RELATIONSHIP]
I am not a monday person, I accept this. I hope we
don't review anything awesome on monday...
Today's card is a platoon from the new set of Naruto
and Sai. That right there kind of makes me sad, as
both of these cards are better as parts of their own
squads (Naru/Yama and Naru/Hina, Saikura) rather
than being a plat. That's one strike against this
card going in, but let's check out it's stats, shall
we:

So it's got a lot
of what we'd expect from this card, but honestly
there isn't anything new here since they decided to
have their own squad together. Nothing here really
stands out above their separate squads, so there's
no great reason to dwell here. Let's go right onto
the effect, shall we:

Valid: When
you win any Battle Rewards due to this Ninja's Team
due to the Showdown, place 1 Growth coin on this
Ninja.
Valid: When
this Ninja's Team wins a Victory or an Outstanding
Victory, remove 1 Growth coin from this Ninja.
That's not a good
effect, not at all. If it gets BRs, you get growth
coins. If it just wins battles, you lose them?
Really? If both of them pulled you growth coins, I
could kind of see it, but losing them due to winning
battles is just horrible. There's really no reason
to run this card in your deck, seeing as both ninja
have better things to do.
