Beastly Mage

Sasuke [Cold Headed]

Sorry for the whole going MIA yesterday. Let's just say I had my hands full.

Enough of that, on to the card.

Today's card is one very highly sought after version of Sasuke. Cold Headed allows you to give one damage to one of your Ninjas, after you've given damage to one of your opponent's Ninjas that's the same (or less) in terms of turn cost. Not so bad some would say. But I say it's great. Even though this version of Sasuke doesn't have any rank (meaning it can't use Sense of Fear) it can still be annoying for your opponent to see their Ninjas get damage every time this guy goes out to battle. If you have the chance, use him!

**********#2 Sasuke Uchiha [Cold-Headed]**********

All right guys, we're almost done with this countdown! We're on the #2 spot on the list and it's the card that caused the largest uproar this year and he's the first and second most expensive card in the game right now (first being his Chibi version, second being the original). If you've been living under a rock and don't know what I'm talking about, it's Sasuke Uchiha [Cold-Headed].

Let's start off with stats and characteristics like I usually do:

Sasuke Uchiha
EC: 4; HC: 0
Sound|Rogue Ninja|Male|Sharingan Eye| Growth
Healthy: 6/2; Injured: 2/0
Genjutsu/Weapon Combat Attribute
Having the name "Sasuke Uchiha" is a big strong point for this card as it gives him access to many of the games most powerful Sharingan/Chidori jutsus and entrance cost 4 gives him the ability to use Chidori Stream, Snake Sword, and Multiple Striking Shadow Snakes and Genjutsu/Weapon CA makes him great in constructed decks. Sound let's him use Stealing Chakra... and that's it. Rogue Ninja is still useless. Stat-wise, this card has the classic Sasuke Syndrome: Really powerful healthy stats (for its turn) and abysmal injured. He can gain even more power by growing him over your Sasuke [CtS] or [-].

Now time to look at his game changing effect:

When this ninja is sent out to battle, you can give one damage to one of your other ninjas. In that case, give one damage to one of your opponents ninjas with an entrance cost equal to or lower than that ninja.

This is what can win you games. He's pretty much Gaara [Tragic Name] on steroids. He can combo easily with Zabuza [BP] and Shizune [MK] or be double-edged sword with Zabuza [DoCV] by killing a ninja for a ninja. The only downside is no valid.

This plus his large array of jutsus makes him one of the most powerful ninja out there and his splashibility gives him the number two spot on this list

Limited: 5/5 If you draft and draw him, game over... unless your opponent does too
Constructed: 5/5 He kills with all the right combos
Block: 4.5/5 He has a little while before he's rotated and most of his jutsus are still usable

#2 Sasuke Uchiha [COLD HEADED]

Man, what a card we have today, and one that I really like myself, but feel was a bit over hyped as the end all, be all of Sasuke cards. But as time went on, people started to see the flaws of this card, and it went from being "BrokenZ!" to a really good card, which is where I see it now.

Today's card is the legendary Sasuke [COLD HEADED], a card immortalized in chibi form and vaulted all the way into Naruto CCG history, what with it's great showing at last Sannin as well as many other large events. But this isn't just the first real Shippuden Sasuke, it's a hell of a card too. But before we go to it's effect, let's check out it's stats, shall we:

T4 HC0 Water
Sound/Rogue Ninja/Male/Sharingan Eye/Growth
6/2 2/0 CA: Genjutsu/Weapon
Set 13 Super Rare

Man, this guy has some good stats for a T4, probably out powering any other ninja at his turn cost. Having both Genjutsu and Weapon combat attributes is pretty useful as well, seeing as both have a pretty nice amount of jutsu to use as well as well as a few missions and other effects that rely on it. Growth on this card is huge though, as it gave you the ability to play this off of your T0 Sasuke, leading to the standard play of 2 T0, 1 T4 for most Sasuke players. But even with big stats like this, the reason he's played is for his effect. Let's check that out, shall we:

[COLD HEADED]

When this Ninja is sent out to Battle, you can give 1 Damage to 1 of your other Ninja. In that case, select and give 1 Damage to 1 of your opponent's Ninjas with equal to or lower printed Entrance Cost than that Ninja.

That effect right there has more than a few people pretty scared, and for good reason. There's a lot of good ninja with solid injured stats and valid effects that are willing targets for this guy's sadistic touch. Even better, with cards like Zabuza Momochi [BOTTOMLESS POWER] and Shizue [MEDICAL KUNOICHI], you can reuse this effect over and over again on pretty much every turn. The timing of this card is before the EOJ, which makes it even more vicious than most effects, as it can effect an opponent before they can do anything about it.

A card like this is a great first showing for a character, and honestly, it's not as powerful as it's made out to be, I'm guessing it's just that a lot of skilled players know how to push the advantage with this card, which makes it seem far better than it is. I myself love this card, and think it deserves this spot on the list. I like it more than the #1 card on the list, but I think I'm not the only person looking forward to seeing that card get cycled out.

Limited: 4/5 No great combos here, but still a very solid card.
Constructed 5/5 Easily one of the best Sasuke's out there...if it had Jonin, it would be unfair...
Block: 5/5 Nothing that it relied on is out of block, so it's just as strong here as it is anywhere else.
Art: The picture of a card that's won many events...know it, fear it/5

Tomorrow we have the famed #1 card of 2009, although I'm sure most of you know what it is already. Stay tuned, and I've been informed that we'll be getting cards to preview soon enough, which will be awesome. As always, I'm your sensual samurai, signing off!
