Beastly Mage

Chidori

Today's card is a new version of Chidori. This one has the same cost and requirements as the original Fire versions, the effect could be considered better than the original though. Every Ninja battling against the user (either Sasuke or Kakashi) gets -2/-2. Weakening the target can work better than pumping up the user. The bonus comes when any of those Ninjas gets their Support reduced to 0. For every Ninja that gets their Support taken down to 0 you get to draw a card. It's a pretty good Jutsu if used right. Being a Super Rare with name requirements hurts its chances in Limited. Thing is that the good versions of Sasuke being run now are Water, so it can't simply be splashed. Still, I see a good chance for this one. Try it and see!

Chidori (TP3 Version)

Another set, another Chidori. Anyone getting sick of seeing multiple copies of this card? I am. This is one of the lackluster ones, and the least desired super of TP3. At best it can give a -6-6 to your opponent's team and allow you to draw 2 cards (since your opponent won't be sending out a ninja team with a 2 combat head ninja). It's pretty expensive for what it does in this format. Since it's not injury, removal, or damage, it won't win you a jutsu chain, and allows them to still hit you back pretty hard since you just burned 3 chakra to play this thing. Even worse still, it has Kakashi and Sasuke requirements, where the set 19 water version doesn't. The set 19 one is cheaper, and can even be played from chakra. This card is really only good as an early shot jutsu card when your opponent can't respond and you can OV their team. Late game, it's mostly a dead card.

Limited: 3/5 Decent jutsu are scarce in limited, but this might just help.
Unlimited: 1/5 MUCH better options.
Block: 1/5 Better Chidori out there, and even better fire jutsu for the same cost.
