Star Wars Celebration III Registration Opens September 27!

On Monday, Sept. 27, Star Wars fans officially can get their plans underway for Celebration III, the event that promises to be the most electrifying Star Wars extravaganza ever. Tickets for the 4-day festival, slated for April 21 - 24, 2005 in Indianapolis, are scheduled to go on sale at approximately 12 noon PDT at starwarscelebration.com. Reservations for hotels in Indianapolis for Celebration III also will be available starting September 27, exclusively for those who purchase tickets for the event.

There are no telephone orders for Celebration III badges. All badge registration must be done through the www.starwarscelebration.com website, although those who register through the site may choose to pay online by credit card or through the mail by check.. First day sales of Pokémon Emerald have been very impressive

They will most likely ensure that not only does Nintendo claim the No.1 software spot next week, but with the special editions GBA: SPs now on the market to celebrate Emerald's launch, the No.1 hardware spot might well also be reclaimed. For reference, after just one day Pokémon Emerald has managed to shift 52% of its initial stock to rack up sales of around 372,000 units! Source


Sony Launches a Fat Free PS2

Sony Computer Entertainment announced its plans for the global release of a new, redesigned PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system (SCPH-70000 CB) in time for the year-end peak-selling season.

"The introduction of the new PlayStation 2 is part of our long-term vision for the platform," said Jack Tretton, executive vice president, Sony Computer Entertainment America.

LucasArts Releases Star Wars Battlefront

LucasArts announced the release of the highly anticipated STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT, an open-ended single-player and multiplayer action game that lets players re-live all of the epic battles from the classic and prequel STAR WARS film trilogies. Shipping September 21 with the classic STAR WARS Trilogy DVD, STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT will be available for PlayStation 2, Xbox and the PC. Source

Hit Toys 'r Us this Saturday for some trading and gaming, Pokemon-style.

TGS 2004: New PSP Games Announced
Dragon Ball, Tenchu, Kings Field, Princess Crown and more come to PSP.


September 21, 2004 - Sony Computer Entertainment announced at a press conference today that over 105 games are in development for the PSP. That's a whole lot of titles, and a lot more than what's in the current IGNPSP database. Thankfully, following the press conference, the company went about providing the names of all the new games.
