Tuesday, 05.31.05  Nicholas Hamner sent us a Tourney Report from the Mississippi Valley Regional Championship in Memphis, TN which took place over the weekend.  He was playing a Crobomb deck and did very well. Check out the Tournament Reports section today.

Wednesday, 05.25.05  With a long Memorial Day weekend coming up for many of us, we've decided to move Johnny Blaze's regular monthly column up as well so no one misses it.   Today Johnny has a look at The Ludicargo deck that many folks are talking about.  Check out Blaze's Banter today.

News from around the globe:  Here's a fun article from the Antelope Valley Press about Pokémon Emerald Ultimate Frontier Brain Battle that over 35,000 Pokemon fans entered.  The article focuses on Thomas Mifflin who qualified for the trip to Seattle. 

Gamespot has a "hands on" review of Pokemon XD for the GameCube from E3. 

The Buffalo News reviews Pokemon Emerald: "Pokemon Emerald -  pointless but fun."

Wednesday, 05.18.05  When I posted Johnny Blaze's Regional Report from the Meadowlands Monday, the link to the photographs wasn't working.  I fixed that this morning for you.  There's more than 20 photos to peruse.  Check out Blaze's Banter today. 

Speaking of Tournament Reports ... We received another report today from Andrew Mondak.  Andrew took 2nd in the 11-14 division at the Great Lakes Regional and has a detailed report.  Congrats Andrew!!!

Also ... Nintendo has unveiled yet another new Game Boy System.  It's called the Game Boy Micro.  Its new console would be out in 2006, with downloadable access to 20 years' worth of popular games!

The device measures four inches by two inches by 0.7 inch, with a silver casing and removable face plates. Those dimensions are about the same as cell phones like the Nokia 3120.  

The screen of the Micro will have adjustable brightness levels; a frequent complaint with past Game Boys was that the screen was not bright enough. It will play all the same games as the current Game Boy Advance SP. Nintendo did not set a price for the Micro.   Full Story

Monday, 05.16.05  Johnny Blaze played in the 2005 North East Regionals at The Meadowlands this past weekend, and wrote a detailed report with photographs.  We linked to it via the Tournament Reports section and also via "Blaze's Banter".  Jonny's 10 yr. old son took 2nd in the 10 & under section.  That's pretty cool.  ;-)

Saturday, 05.13.05  I usually take weekends off, but when there's interesting news, I simply gotta get it to you.  ;-)  - Planet GameCube is reporting that Nintendo will be releasing a Pokemon RPG for the GameCube:  "With E3 just days away, Nintendo's Japanese website devoted to Pokemon has been updated with a new page devoted to the forthcoming GameCube RPG, Pokemon XD.  Pokemon XD is slated to launch in Japan on August 4th of 2005. Also, it appears that the Pokemon Eevee will be the companion of the hero's character this time around, according to some rough internet translations. There also seems to be both a female and male character involved in this adventure."

Also ... for those of you visiting Manhattan in the near future, Nintendo World opens up today.
