Sept 25, 2006

Last week was a very, VERY good week to be a Pokefanatic. In addition to the DVDs, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, PAB Gaining Groudon and PAB The Scuffle of Legends, AND the Mystery Dungeon vidgames, I found a few more anticipated items on the shelves at the end of the week.

Friday, I spotted the holiday windowed gift tins (Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza) out on the shelves at Target, $12.99 ea. Saturday, I spotted those tins also at Walmart--and in addition, there was also a new value pack (3 assorted Ex boosters with a Typhlosion foil promo; no price sticker on the shelf, likely around $8.99 per the last value pack with the Pikachu foil). If DVDs, vidgames and TCGs weren't enough, for the more erudite out there we have a ton of new reading material!--in addition to Mystery Dungeon game guides from Nintendo Power and Prima (around $14.99-$16.99 ea.), I found the Prima hardcover 10th Anniversary Pokedex at TRU for $24.99 and then I discovered Beckett's is at it again with a retry at the Pokemon Unofficial Collector 'zine for $6.99 at my local Meijer.

I've saved the BEST for last:

(random scan from e-Bay)

Pikachu Game Boy

Available exclusively at TRU for

$79.99. PIKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd seen it in a Corocoro before (how *do* you get drool off the pages?!?!)... :)
