Mark your calendar--Battle Dimension DVDs coming!

Both Amazon and Best Buy websites note that the first of the Battle Dimension DVDs will be released June 23, 2009:

Of course, we all know that St. Paddy's Day was the release date of the final D&P volumes/box set, but I had a heck of a time finding the things in-store!  I called/drove all over town and no one seemed to have the DVDs in-store; I also checked online for in-store info.  Lo, I lucked out, sorta, when I visited one TRU yesterday and found the 2 volumes (v.5, v.6) individually.  Alas, they are pricier to buy individually and you don't get the nice outer case artwork (Team Rocket, this time)... but, you know me, I don't put my credit card number on-line and truly, with a full-time job, getting UPS at home means risking theft from my patio or delays in receiving...  I'm an impatient sort!  I will, however, keep you posted when/if the boxes/volumes show up in Cowtown (Central OH, the big city...) because Target did carry the prior boxes for a very nice $17.99.  Perhaps the shipment was delayed...

Target did have a few new Battle Dimension remote control figures:  Dialga, Palkia and Darkrai.  No signs of Platinum merch. there yet; TRU was the only local store to have the new Pika yellow packaging/single figures so far--and they did restock a bit as of yesterday.  I know that sometimes Target brings in a new wave with a game release and we all know what Sunday is, so keep your fingers crossed!  TRU's Pokemon toy section seems to have shrunk a bit at some stores but some stores do have a special cardboard "kiosk" with Pokemon merch.; we also saw a news story online around Toy Fair time that New York's store was installing a special section in April, so, hopefully, I'll have something to report come next month if TRU duplicates the promotion throughout the chain.  I'm hoping the rumored Tomy exclusives won't just be NY exclusives-!  TRU has restocked the Platinum theme system cases in anticipation of Sunday...

Oh, and I saw some cute candy-toys at my local market, found a pic online:

Happy hunting!  Pi!
