Latest Wave of Tomy Pokemon Plush
Hitting Wal-Mart TCG Aisle!

It seems like it gets longer and longer between reports because there isn't as much in the toy aisles for Pokémon these days, despite its all-time great popularity. Luckily, Pokémon Center online returns on August 6, so hopefully fans will be able to procure exactly the favorites they want! In the meantime, I've been searching store shelves for the next wave of Tomy plush; obviously we've seen these items on Toywiz' website, but I don't do a lot of online shopping and I still prefer to see items firsthand before spending hard-earned cash. Locally, Target and Wal-Mart have had the TCG distributors stocking the Tomy figures and plush in the trading card aisles/end-caps. Meijer still has a toy section for Pokémon as of course does Toys 'R' Us. Well, on my way back home from The Disney Store (need I mention "Frozen"-?) I stopped by one of my many local Wal-Marts and oh...my...Godric! A lone Sylveon plush was in the plush case along with a couple of the older XY plush. I carried it to my actual destination, the bedding aisle, to snatch up the brand new Frozen sheet set they'd just gotten in, then headed to check-out. I could totally see Elsa with a Glaceon--and when I mentioned that to my Pokémon fan colleagues, they wondered where I'd been, as apparently there's fan art online for that pair. I admit Frozen and My Little Pony have been dominating my toy searches lately, but here, have a picture of super-cute Sylveon. Now I'll be on the hunt for the other plush in this wave, as they either were out of stock or not yet stocked by the TCG distributor rep.

Happy Fourth! Pi-Pikachu!
