New Pokémon Merchandise Trickling Into Stores!
September 11, 2013

Tomy has not been as prolific as Jakks or Hasbro in their toy releases, so my shopping reports have been fewer, obviously (hears in Snape voice--I'm in so many fandoms anymore, it's hard to keep up with anything!). I just thought I'd shoot over a quick photo to let you know that I have been seeing new Tomy items slowly making their way onto store shelves. Toys 'R' Us had some of the new Pokéballs with figure and large assemble-it-yourself poseable figures (Charizard and Genesect). Today I stopped at Wal-Mart and found the new Rival Destinies DVD volume 1 (let's not talk about how many seasons behind I am in viewing all those Pokémon DVDs I've already purchased, LOL) for $14.96 then headed to Target to see who had the best deal on the new Star Trek movie (Wal-Mart, $4 cheaper, looks like a trip back there later this week!). I really wasn't expecting to find much new in the toy section and had noticed they had put all of last season's Pokémon toy stock on clearance weeks ago, leaving no spot open in the shelf reset for new items. Only Meijer and TRU had seemed to maintain the spot with mostly old merchandise. But today was my lucky day! Target has received new Tomy figures! After looking at Pojo sponsor Toywiz.com's website earlier, you know I am dying to see that new plush and now I might just get my wish! I'm happy to see Tomy didn't wait for X & Y to release new merchandise, but I'm thinking that the X & Y items will hit the shelves closer to game release date. I did notice a Keldeo plush photo on Toywiz's site...and a cute winking Pika! I hope those items are in stock soon as I don't know if I can wait until next month, even with My Little Pony mania occupying so much of my time already. So, Pojo, you did hear My Little Pony will release a trading card game, right?

OK, back to my Animal Crossing New Leaf game...where I have Pikachu, Fluttershy and Snape custom designs. Like I said, so many fandoms...so little time and money!

Happy Shopping!

Loretta

P.S. Hot Topic has new Pokémon clothing for fall, too!
