doc Today we look at the common Banker character Moneychanger.

It’s not your regular ATM…

For a cost of 3 with a threshold of 2, this 2/2/3 isn’t going to win you any battles. But that’s not what it’s there for anyway. With its ability, and the possibility of making it a card drawing engine, it’ll more than make up for its lack of battle prowess.

By paying nothing and putting a token on him causing -1/-1, draw a card.

Lets see how many ways we can abuse this engine:

Secret Handshake once every 4 turns or so, which also nets you a draw, will keep things moving along nicely..
Ectological Hazard Suit counters the tokens by giving +1/+1 while the Moneychanger gives it -1/-1.
Furtive Investor allows you to remove a token from a non-resource card at the start of your turn.
Market Oracle will remove a token with naught but a deplete.
Viodal Poisoning will be happy to remove all the tokens built up on it and maybe give you a draw or two.
Every gear card that increases life!

In a game of options, the more cards you have in hand equals more options. When you have more options than your opponent, you have the advantage if not the game.

In limited, just getting 2 draws out of this card is great for a cost of 3. In constructed, this card is begging to be abused.

This is just one more Banker character that makes me want to use Voidal Poisoning. In Constructed it needs heavy support, but a draw a turn can be worth it if you can manage it.

In Limited, it's nothing to write home about. However, it is a wonderful chump blocker. If its going to die anyhow, deplete it and add a token to draw a card. Heck, if you know you're going to be using it as a chump blocker before hand, use the ability once at the end of your opponent's turn, and then the next turn while blocking, after their character has assigned damage.

Limited: 3/5
