Jetpack

Today we are going to end the week with a look at a common piece of equipment that is seeing more play now that we have MA format.

Jetpack basically gives your character +2 attack and flight. If you are going to give your character a boost, this is probably one of the best ways to do it. After all, we have all learned from the massive amounts of sentinel decks out there, just how powerful flight can be (not to mention this equipment is FREE). Basically there will no longer be a place for your opponent to hide (except maybe the concealed area). That is not bad in my book (flight is always better than range imo). Really the only draw back to this card that there are cards out there more favored simply due to the fact that they provide for more characters..or they give defense. Still, I would choose this over many cards out there right now. After all, a boost is still a boost.

Ratings:
MA constructed - 4.0/5.0 ...This card isn't team specific and provides some very nice abilities for free.
GA constructed - 3.5/5.0 ...Equipment in general doesn't quite make the cut in this format...but hey, if you want to have a 64 card deck, then throw this card in.

Limited - 5.0/5.0 ...Flight and a free boost? What more could you ask for in this format?!?

Jetpack

Ahh Jetpack. If you're anything like me, you could wallpaper your room with Jetpacks, but it should be seeing a surprising amount of play this weekend. The
+2 boost is nice for your smaller characters, and
there aren't that many characters with flight in Modern Age. It's free, and not team stamped, so any build will benefit from it. Not much else to say, if you can spare the space for it, go for it.

In Limited, you'll see a copy or two, and there's no harm in running a couple of copies. Flight is always nice, especially when your opponent has already parked a small guy in the back row.

Ratings:

Constructed (Modern) - 3.75/5
Constructed (Golden) - 3/5
Limited - 3/5
