Whenever Venom enters combat with an opponent or
a character an opponent controls, he gets +1 ATK
this attack for each card in that player's hand.
For the record, Scorpion-Venom is far and away
the lamest Spider-Man villain since
“Electro-Goblin”, “Rhyno-Vulture” or “Kingpin-Morbius-Sandman-Kraven-Mysterio-Lizard-Carnage”.
Okay, to be far “Kingpin-Morbius-Sandman-Kraven-Mysterio-Lizard-Carnage”,
pretty much kicked ass.
But you’re not playing me to talk about that.
“Mac” Gargon is a reasonable card. Against a
generic curve deck, He should start out strong
and gets weaker as time progresses. He should be
above average turn 3, more normal turn 4 and
poor by 5. Of course it depends on who you are
playing. Anything that is draw crazy will work
in his favour, yet he’ll get slaughtered going
against squadron (does anyone play squadron
anymore?). And so on.
Q.) So really, is this a good card?
A.) Probably. Most of the time. Well most of the
time at first.
In the terminology of a different card game,
“Mac” Gargon is “anti-meta” on a stick. In fact,
if you nailed him to the head of a YUGIOH player
they would literally explode.
On the other hand if you nailed him to the head
of a VS player they would literally say “*%^$ my
head really %^*$ing hurts, you $^*!ing %$^£”.
And that’s basically the difference between the
two games.
Sealed: Um it depends, maybe 3/5
Constructed: Umm…3/5?
