Sinister Syndicate
2 cost
Reservist
Flight 2/2

First off I like the Syndicate feel of kill you before I get killed. Answer ability is sick it says pay X endurance and stun up the curve while attacking. The first thing I thought of was team up with Inhumans and between Karnak and Answer stun the board play a KO effects and you win. The endurance loss with Syndicate will add up but you should have board advantage. The large number of combat pumps in Marvel Team-up should take some of the sting out. This is one of the cards I really like. I would like to point out that with all the ATK and DEF manipulation you could be losing endurance for no reason!

Sealed 4/5 the stun any drop for a little life doesn’t hurt. Shouldn’t see Answer to much if at all since he’s rare though.

Constructed 4/5 like I said this guy says I get board advantage which wins games.

2 cost Sinister Syndicate
Flight, 2 atk/2def

Reservist

Whenever Answer attacks a character you may pay X endurance, where X is that character’s DEF. If you do, Answer gets +X ATK this attack.

We close out the week by looking at one of the Syndicates heavy hitters in an off curve deck, Answer. Syndicate will have a very strong off curve team, usually featuring Carnage<> psychopath as the highest drop character. Answer gives you an option against larger characters should the game run past turn 4. Paying 7 endurance to stun their 4 drop might seem a little harsh, but remember it is going to save you on card advantage as well as board advantage.

Answer can do the work of about 2 or 3 Two-cost characters if he so feels.
Imagine playing an off curve deck and not being able to draw into your mega blasts or flying kicks. Answer gives you a searchable option to drop and help clear the board. The endurance you are paying your opponent will also be paying as you attack them directly to the face after Answer takes out their biggest character.

I like answer, he isn’t Loyal so he is very splash able in off curve team decks. Ecpect to see him popping up as a 1-of in many off curve decks to come.

Sealed: 3.7 out of 5, only because drafting a Syn-Sin off curve team in sealed takes a lot of luck and skill

Constructed: 4.3 out of 5, Answer is strong, not broken strong but strong none the less.
