UPPER DECK ENTERTAINMENT ‘CRAFTS-UP’ NEW

WORLD OF WARCRAFT®TRADING CARD GAME PROGRAM

Players Can Now Collect Various ‘Crafting Materials’ to

Craft Exclusive Promo Cards and Gear to Use in the Trading Card Game

World of Warcraft Trading Card Game (TCG) players now have another way to step up their game with Upper Deck Entertainment’s (UDE) new “Crafting Redemption Program.”  Much like in the online game, “crafting” in the TCG allows players to collect various “crafting materials” that can be combined -- according to special recipes -- to be redeemed for exclusive equipment that can be used in the TCG, such as “Netherdrake Gloves,” a “Felsteel Reaper” or the “Girdle of Ruination.”

UDE began inserting crafting materials in the recently-released Fires of Outland expansion set.  There are currently five different recipes available online for Fires of Outland, each of which will require 20-30 crafting materials cards.  Players can find one of twelve different crafting materials featured on the newly-designed UDE Points card inserted in every booster pack.  New crafting materials will be featured in every booster pack in every set release thereafter for brand-new recipes; the Pirates and Ninjas mini-game previously found on the UDE Points card will no longer be available.

Players can begin to craft their recipes using their crafting materials and redeem their cards in November.  Players that are in Europe can redeem their crafting materials at the upcoming Darkmoon Faire in France on November 17 and 18; players in the U.S. can begin redeeming their crafting materials at the upcoming World of Warcraft TCG World Championship on November 30 (through December 2) in San Diego.  For players who aren’t planning on attending either event, they can simply mail in their cards for redemption.

For more information on the “Crafting Redemption Program,” crafting materials or recipes, players can log onto www.wowtcg.com/recipe.  UDE will continue to update the site every week, previewing new recipes.
