Pojo's World of Warcraft Site News
Darkmoon Faire Chicago
June 20th, 2007

I stopped out at the Darkmoon Faire with my kids over the weekend.  The Darkmoon Faire was right in my backyard, so of course we stopped by all 3 days to goof off and take some photos.

Mike Hummel (Game Designer) gives my daughter Anna
some pointers in the Demo Area.

on Friday during the Molten Core Challenge.

Another Molten Core Challenge on Sunday.  Only 2 sets of groups totally defeated the UDE staff during the Molten Core Challenge Events.  (I took this photo about 3 pm, so maybe someone else snuck through ... don't know).

The Lan Area featured 2 on 2 and 5 on 5 arena battles. (Sunday)

We decided to partake in the Darkmoon Faire Quest for Glory, which was essentially a Giant Scavenger Hunt where you take photos at various spots around Chicago holding the "Darkmoon Faire Chicago 2007" sign.  The Treasure Quest included taking photos at famous Chicago Landmarks (Museums, Restaurants, Tourist Traps, etc.).  Here are my kids at Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park.  They were able to snap photos at about 75% of the 40 locations.
Nice work ladies!

The participants in the Quest for Glory earned this new Penny Arcade Playmat.

Upper Deck has full coverage of the event on their site.  TCG'ers might want to check out the Top 8 deck lists.
