Upper Deck Entertainment Announces

“SPECTRAL SAFARI”

Spectral Tiger World of Warcraft® TCG Loot Card is Grand Prize

in One-Day, Limited Tournament!

Carlsbad, CA (February 1, 2007) – The hunt is on! Upper Deck Entertainment (UDE) today announced “Spectral Safari,” a global one-day World of Warcraft® Trading Card Game (TCG) tournament at select hobby stores on March 1. The victor of each individual “Spectral Safari” tournament will bag the biggest trophy in the game, a Spectral Tiger Loot card!

World of Warcraft TCG Lootcards, which can only be found through the TCG, give players who receive them access to unique World of Warcraft massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) in-game items. The Spectral Tiger Loot card has quickly become one of the most hunted cards in both the TCG and MMORPG worlds, with players everywhere looking to get their hands on the Spectral Tiger in-game mount. The demand for this elusive card has even spurred the World of Warcraft TCG Fires of Outland booster set to sell out!

So if you haven’t gotten a Spectral Tiger Loot Card yet, you’re in luck! On March 1, World of Warcraft TCG players can battle it out for the most sought-after Loot Card yet. Hobby stores the world over will host these limited tournaments, giving everyone a chance to take part in the hunt! Anyone who enters will have an opportunity to win great prizes.

“As part of the World of Warcraft TCG, the Spectral Tiger has been hugely popular, and we wanted to give people one more chance to get this great card,” said Scott Gaeta, Upper Deck’s Senior Manager of Marketing and Organized Play.  “Upper Deck has never before offered a Loot Card as a prize in hobby store tournaments.  Spectral Safari is a one-of-a-kind event and a great opportunity for both TCG and MMORPG players to bag this huge prize.”

In addition to the Spectral Tiger Loot Card, the top eight finishers at each tournament will receive an Extended Art version of Wyneth Harridan, a highly popular promotional card that is not available in stores.

Each tournament will also offer one lucky door prize winner a Robotic Homing Chicken Loot Card that can be redeemed for a rocket-powered sidekick for your favorite character in the MMORPG. High tournament finishers will also walk away with booster packs!

Based on Blizzard Entertainment®’s hit massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG), the TCG allows players to experience the action and adventure of World of Warcraft in a new format. Released in October 2006, the TCG’s premiere set quickly became the hottest and most sought-after trading card game in the industry, prompting UDE to produce additional quantities to support the overwhelming demand.

World of Warcraft  is the most popular MMORPG in the world, with more than 10 million subscribers playing the game in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Europe, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. In World of Warcraft, players assume the roles of legendary heroes and interact with thousands of other players online as they explore, adventure, and quest across a vast realm. Whether journeying together or fighting against one another in epic battles, players form friendships, forge alliances, and compete against enemies for power and glory.
